Today is the first time I have received a call with this number. We typically ignore such calls as this. They don't leave message.

Received call at 7 p.m., used PhoneTray to add the number to my block list, and filed a complaint at www.donotcall.gov referencing Jana S. Behe's comments.  (Her profile on Linked In seems to be legitimate, and I believe her comments here are as well.)

Caller ID showed this number today, no message left.  As we don't answer the phone here anymore it just goes down as another attempted scam that didn't play out.

Selected option to talk to live person.  Got "Tina, Agent number 22"  Advised her she was making a telemarking call to California at 07:00 am.  She hung up.

When I call the number back there is a recording " This number is no longer in service ".

Caller ID said NYSTC with the #.  Don't answer calls from persons I don't know or do business with.

NEVER call back a number you don't recognize. You're only ratcheting up YOUR OWN phone bill to reach scammers who don't want to hear your request to be put on their non-existent DNC list. Keep reporting them to the National DNC list and DON'T pick up if you don't recognize the number.

They call approximately every two weeks.  Of course, never leave a message and phone number is different every time they call so blocking this week's number is useless.  These are computer generated calls invented by my ex and now deceased brother-in-law (may he not rest in peace)they splatter calls all over the country and they only have so many "workers" to man all these calls.  Most times you will get a hang up but if there is someone to "take" your call they will sell you anything under the sun.  Sometimes these boiler rooms are pushing many products or scams on the American public.  

Just say NO, don't answer these calls, ever.  Their push one to be removed merely confirms your number is HOT and ripe for the picking.

 

I don't believe you.  I will file a complaint against you as I have done in the past.  Why don't you actually tell the truth and admit it was your company?

Just received a call from this number with caller id "Albany NY," no message, number now blocked.  

I keep getting calls from this number and they leave no voice mail. When I call back, no one answers and no one is there. I am on the DO NOT CALL LIST, so why do they keep calling me?

This does appear to be a boiler room operation. This same number has has different caller ID for different calls. I am also on National DNC list. So, either these people ar breaking the law or they are registered as a charity or political group in which case they would be exempt.

Best I've read and follow is don't answer any unknown calls. If they will not leave a message, they want your money. The other good advise is do not attempt to opt out (this goes for unknown e-mails as well) as all this does is tell them they got a live number or e-mail address.

Called while I was watching Gibbs.  Could see it was somebody I had no interest in.  Ignored the call.  After reading the comments I am glad I did it my way.
