Said her name was Brita like the water filter at the end (I thought her name was Greta). She was acting as if from the NYS Dept of Labor. In my weary mental state I stupidly gave out some of my personal information. Please do not fall for this too- do better than I did and learn from my mistake!!

Called after applying for unemployment, saying they were from the department of labor. Asked for my SSN which would obviously be on my claim application. 100% a scam do not fall for it!

Received a call as well, name was Jamie. Asked right away for SSN, which I do not give over the phone. Explained that needed to verify claim. Possibly legit but will call via DOL numbers. Caller ID Ny State Labor, Albany.

Another scammer except now it seems like they're evolving into insider threat &/or training. Got a call from "Greg A." who provided Agent # USAGFA. His answers gave him away. But also good to know the correct process. He was likely trying to obtain info.
