got this number and they left no message

left message and said call was from the IRS, filling a law suit against me!

Just received the same call, pretty sure it's fraud.

This is a scam. If the IRS is going to actually file a law suit they are not going to call you and it most certainly won't be automated. Best advice is to just block this number.

This is total fraud. Don't listen. Hang up.

Definitely a scam. I got one as well. The phone numbers change over time, I kept getting calls from another number a few months ago. The IRS will NEVER call you about a lawsuit or anything else for that matter, you would get a letter.

Received a call from a phil at the IRS stating that I was going to be taken to court with a law suit for $9,000.00. I asked why, and he told me it was because I didn't fill out two lines on my tax return. At that moment I asked to speak to a supervisor. He put me on hold then hung up on me. I called back, and coincidentally got Phil again hahahaha.... I asked for a supervisor again and at that point he put me on hold. He then picked up again but trying to pull off his new career in voice acting. He told me he was a supervisor, and told me that he had been drinking and that it was his birthday... Such an odd call and a waste of my time.

This number is calling my ederly mother and threatening a law suit

I was told basically the same thing, that I owed 9,000 for not filling out box 7&8 from tax year 2009-2010, and unless I made arrangements to pay, the sheriff was coming to my job and arrest me.  My response was go ahead and send them.  The guy also said he was recording the call and I said good that way you have on the recording that I don't give a damn.  I said I will call back when I have my tax forms in front of me and my lawyer on the phone with me.

Total scam just got the same call supposedly from IRS and is completely false.

SCAM - automated message claiming to be from the IRS saying that the IRS is suing and I must call 562 245 2078 for more information. I am calling them back to "share" my thoughts with them. LOL.
