Google. Always Google. I realize it isn't Google themselves (at least I don't think so), but it's sooooo annoying. They call every day, at least twice a day.

just got a call from these idiots...have google search open and been looking for parts. 15 mins after i sent an email from yahoo (it warned me certificates were bad and suggested i not go to mail) with my phone number in it, the calls started.

a friend in the tech industry i just spoke to said to update my virus protection and run a full scan. he thinks i picked something up that is allowing them to see my data.

Got the same call. He said he was from Google and could help with my business. I asked what business (I have several under different names) and he couldn't answer. Then hung up. Unfortunately Google doesn't care much about people using their name for scamming. They aren't interested in the information about this.

Same as those listed above.  Google Searches Website just called. They needed to talk to the "business owner" of my business website.

Scammers.

Ironically, I used Google to find *this* website to confirm it was a scam. :)

Same as above.  Google website not yet been claimed.  Told him we don't have a web site & he recited some garbage that 15 years ago someone had given wrong information and that it needs to be corrected.  We've had this company for 20 yrs. and run it through our home, just my husband & myself, so how is that possible I inquired?????  Creep went from salesperson to rude little jerk at which point I hung up. Sick and tired of these unsolicited, harassing phone calls!!!!!!!

This is a scam! the REAL Google Places does not charge a fee.

Got a call from this phone number, no one answered when I said hello, but I get these types of scammy "Google Business Listings" type of calls weekly. Usually just the same type of recorded messages already mentioned, like "our business isn't showing up in google searches" (not true) or "we need to claim our google+ business listing" (Also not true, as I personally created/manage our company google+ page).
I just hang up right away, unfortunately even being on the National Do Not Call Registry doesn't seem to stop them.
