Keep calling my house unprofessional, disrespectful and worthless people with dead end jobs.

Most these are collecting debts past statute of limitations tell them if the call back you will notify the Better Business Bureau and the FCIC they wll stop

In most states, it's not against the law to try to collect on debt that's past the Statute of Limitations. (SOL)

It's against the law to sue for it. Their goal is to get people to pay something, because that will reset the SOL.

If they're calling a cell phone with an autodialer, and you didn't give them express permission to do that, you can sue them under the TCPA.

If they're harassing you and calling you names, or threatening to sue you on SOL debt, you can sue them under the FDCPA. Or both, if they're doing both.

I'm in luck. This is an old debt of one of my kids. It's out of SOL, and I had sent them a debt validation letter and have gotten nothing. Now they're calling my cell. WOOHOO. Lawsuit.

They have called me numerous times on my cell and work phone. it's always the same man and says that he is from commonwealth financial.. i have given the number to my bankruptcy attorney. i should not be receiving calls from anyone. He always hangs up on me.

This number called my home, which I have an unlisted number, and was extremely rude and ignorant. When I told them there was no one here with the name they asked for, he got very rude and hung up. I want them reported to who ever can prosecute them!!!!!

We keep receiving these phone calls and neither my husband nor I have any debt.  I finally got so fed up I called the police in Dickson City, PA and filed a complaint.  They actually went to the company (commonwealth Financial) and told the people that they need to stop harrassing me.  The GM called me right away to apologize profusely and claim that any employee who is using these threatening tactics will be fired.  He is apparently new and trying to make the company better.  He also ensured that all of our numbers would be removed from the list and no one should call us again.  We can only wait and see what happens.  In any case I strongly encourage anyone in this same situation to call the police in that city and also file a harrassment file with your own magistrate.  That is the only way that we can get these people to stop with these illegal and annoying phone calls.

Someone from this number keeps calling me looking for a Robert Langdon and leaves a message saying if it's a wrong number to call him back and let him know.  Suspecting foul play that it's just a ploy to get me on the line so he can harass me about paying money I supposedly owe, I look online and sure enough it's a debt collector.  I'm guessing the guy calling me reads alot of Dan Brown.

I'm receiving calls from this number everyday. I have never answer and they keep calling me. I don't know why they are calling though. I'm receiving a lot of calls from so many different numbers and they are debt collectors, the funny thing is they say my name and everything and I don't even know those "accounts" that they talked about. It's so annoying.

This is a scavenger debt collector.  =They buy "old debts" for a penny on the dollar. They like to harass ANYONE, whether it is the debtor or not.

Love to harass old people. Also like to tell ma and pa that their adult child left this delinquent behind and unless the parents settle up they will be forced to RUIN junior's credit...  (Junior probably did not have the debt in the first place.  Somebody with a similar name is the real debtor.)

In other words, if somebody answers a call they will harass them, debtor or not.

Commonwealth is always willing to "make you a deal. Will settle for 40% of the debt."  What they won't say is they will transfer the balance to a "sister company" and Northeast Financial will harass you for the ENTIRE DEBT AGAIN!!!  

1. ALWAYS, I mean ALWAYS!!!  tell a debt collector you will not consider paying unless they mail you a copy of the document with your signature  which obligates you to pay. (Debt collectors will not have it. Debts so old the documents are LONG GONE.  They will dance around the issue, so STAND FIRM!!! It is their obligation!  

2. Get the collections outfit to give you the agreement in writing if you do owe it and decide to pay it.  People lose documents as well and debt collectors know in 24 months a former debtor cannot locate his documents/prove he paid.  SO KEEP THEM FOREVER!!!  

Don't expect the Federal government to be any help with the Fair Debt Act or the Fair Credit Reporting Act.  The bureaucrats are asleep on the job. Won't offer any assistance. Would be surprised if they even reply to your appeal for help.

Called rang twice then they hung up with no message. Came right after another call that came in for my husband. Person got rude when I said he could not talk to them. Finally got totally upset and told them they need to contact the underworld, he's been dead for 9 months.

The number  570-330-0810 keeps calling my home I live in Indiana.  Really. No one speaks but I am getting so tired of  this I could scream if I had a voice,

Omg,  this phone number 1(570) 330-0810 kept calling my cellphone but they never eave any messages.  I have an app that can identify callers so it says ***** this caller is from HARRASSMENT  agency. I don't answer specially when it is an unknown caller from my cell. They are very annoying and it became a nuisance to me.  Not quite sure how to report them to stop calling.

I receive calls from this number stating that I have an outstanding medical bill and they are attempting to collect.  They call several times a week.  I have asked each time that they send me the bill because this is a debt I am not aware of.  They say they will send it, or have sent it.  I've never received this bill.  I have blocked the number.

Would not give company name  when asked.  Just " My name is Howard." No reason for me to talk to them .

Got a call from a guy just now, very unprofessional and rude. "Yeah, I need to speak to Nicole" when does a profession use "yeah" to speak with their "clients".  Hung up.

They call me and say they have all my info but yet she ask for my date of birth... seriously
