I too foolishly fell for the whole dvd thing. I received the movies but never watched them. I have been getting 4-5 calls a day from 2 different numbers.  So today, I finally had enough and called them back. "David" answered the phone and I informed him that I registered my number on the national do not call registry, and that if they called me again, I would report there business and they will have to pay an $11,000 fine.  He quickly apologized in his creepy computer-like voice and said they would not call back.  Hopefully just mentioning the DNC registry, it convinced them not to call anymore.  And at this point, if they do call again, I will not hesitate to report them.  We'll see if this worked.

They (Kids First) use spoof #s if you don't answer one, they cycle to another.

    Here are the numbers of theirs that I've culled so far: 800-297-9606, 877-837-8560, 505-247-0413, 575-382-3813, & 575-382-6813.

These people will NOT stop calling me!!!  I haven't yet picked up because I have not watched the movies yet and my husband told me he threw them away because he didn't know what they were.  Now I refuse to answer and it had been about a month.  My phone rings at odd hours because I looked up the are code and it is from New Mexico, whose hours are totally different from mine.  Anyone know how to stop them from calling me??

    877-837-8560, 575-382-6813, 575-382-9984...

They call saturdays between 9-11 am, weekdays between 4-9pm.

They first called a while ago and started telling me about free videos. They kept avoiding the "how did you get my number" question since I'm on the do-not-call list but I figured free's free so why not?

The dvd came but at the time I was between apartments and it got lost.  They called back to ask how the movies were and I said they'd been misplaced.  I think my roommate threw it out my mistake.
I thought that would be the end of it but no, every day but sunday they call... I haven't picked up, except once to angrily say "I'M AT WORK!" since I was. They said they'd call back later... and they do... daily.

Received a call from this number ("spoofed", according to another website) on my cellphone.  The caller paused in his script when I asked him why he was calling a cellphone.  The name of the company is "Kids First", I allowed them to send two movies for my child to review, but requested they use our land line when they called back.  They instead called my cellphone again so I ignored it.  I was under the impression that telemarketer calls to cellphones were illegal.

I called the number back after consistently getting tons of calls from them that i tried ignoring, hoping they would go away. 'David' answered, I gave him my first name, my state, and told him that I wanted his company to stop calling me, period. So I'll see if that works.

I got LOTS!! of calls from "that people". Of course is a computer. I have not answered their calls 'cos I dont feel attracted to watch the movie, I dont even know where it is. They keep calling and calling always at the same hr of the day, sometimes  three  times per day. As I dont want to answer, i supouse they are going to keep calling the rest of my life, unless I change my cell phone number which is NOT fear! I like that number. There must be a law against this. I should never accepted that dvd.

I got a call from them they offered to send to movies on DVD for me to watch and then they would call me back for a review. Yes, they did send me two FREE movies, I've got to watch them, its been 3 weeks and they are calling back for the review. I don't mind, its only fair.

I am a football player and i just assumed it was a coach calling me. When i answered i just gave the guy a fake name and address and thought that would be the end of it, now they call me everyday. I agree that it is a weirdly human computer. Sometimes when i talked it would stop and then just repeat the same question. it was strange

    annoyed by them too
Their numbers and the name of the persons running the place... at least the public name the company gives out and uses to post employment ads in classified.
search for the ranny  email in google, you can see that they've been around for a  while. And from other sites it looks like they try or used to try to get credit card numbers out of people then charge them for the "free" movies. Call them on their actual contact phone numbers.

    in addition about them
COALITION FOR QUALITY CHILDRENS MEDIA is in the Civic, Social, and Fraternal Associations industry in SANTA FE, NM. This company currently has approximately 5 to 10 employees and annual sales of $500,000 to $999,999.

yeah they make money, but they can make money and still be a "non-profit" Remember, churches make money too.   I never got the dvd's or whatever anyway, so I am just going to continue to ignore calls or maybe answer one and tell them to  stop calling.

They had posted an ad for a telemarketer in some newspaper dated a month or year ago.. just google them, and the email or real phone number.  They sell dvd's or reviews or something.. Non profit but they want to do business... it seems like they are not respecting the do not call registry.

My mom got on their list.. so did I.. The only thing we both did recently(last year) was register Republican.  We took part in our local caucuses (Iowa) so our names are on a list of Iowan republicans..  I am not a Christ'r so they would disagree with what I consider moral,  so really they would not benefit from my opinion.  my responses will be statistical outliers, but it's their poorly run survey.

I do think it is funny that they have an address in Salt Lake.  SO are they Mormon? They did capture some psycho mormons in their little polygamist cults in New Mexico recently.

I used to work for a different market research firm (hey, it paid $10 an hour and I was in college!)and I just wanted to advise everyone that the "do not call list" only applies to people actually trying to sell you something. For the opinion-research firms, the "do not call list" is irrelevant. Basically your number goes into a computer data base and is automatically generated for these companies. When you get angry with them and simply hang up (or whatever), they will just put you in their system to call back (usually within 90 minutes). The only way you can get them to stop is by saying "PLEASE ADD ME TO YOUR DO NOT CALL LIST". If you try to reference the generic "do not call list" that you think you're on, it does nothing to stop them. Once you tell them to please add you to THEIR DO NOT CALL LIST, they legally have to remove your number (at least we did).

I received a call from this number, and the voice just didn't sound right to me...so being a marketing major, I started to ask some really complicated questions that in-turn, got funky answers or repeated answers..when told to hold I waited for a woman (manager) who got on the phone and started to give me the same shpeel..so I ask her point bank who that [***] was that other dude? THE MANAGER TOLD ME THAT THE GUY FIRST ON THE PHONE IS AN AUTOMATED VOICE THAT REPEATS ANYTHING THE OPERATOR TYPES...I was told people respond better to his voice. it took me 25 minutes on the phone to get this out of them..and they sent me the damn dvds anyway...oh well...I just really wanted to know if that voice was real or not.

I also received the phone call on my cell and agreed to view the movies and participant in the survey.  I have no idea what became of the movies that were mailed to us.  I know I received them.  They continue to call me also.  I don't answer but it's still anoying.

Has anyone received a call from them on a land-line?

It is Kids First. They sent me the DVDs. I never watched them, but still have them. These guys are incredibly persistent. They call AT LEAST once a day, sometimes twice.  I don't answer any calls from a 575 area code anymore.  I have to figure out how to get off of this list.
