It's a Saturday, so decided to answer the call. The recorded message said they'd sent me "numerous" notices to my residence (a lie) and this was the final chance to lower my credit card rate to 6.x%. Just have to owe $3000 and have at least one card in good standing. Little do they know...I DON'T HAVE CREDIT CARD DEBT!  WOOHOO!!! (go Dave Ramsey & Financial Peace University!!)

I was instructed to "press 1 to speak to a *friendly* representative"...I didn't and it automatically disconnected.

Got the same phone call, same tactic, same results.  I contacted the FTC and filed a complaint.  We all need to this:  http://www.ftc.gov/ftc/contact.shtm.  In the interim, I blocked the number from my cell phone.

I just got the exact same treatment.  What BS!  I've heard that they have to remove you from the call list if you request to be removed - so I bet they've been instructed to hang up if you start to ask so they can say "they never heard you ask".  That just pisses me off.

Just got a call from the same 601 number, on my Cel.
Missed answering it and came here to check it out!

I got a call from this number. I reported it to DoNotCall Registry, I also RE-registered my number because apparently registering doesn't even slow down spam calls to my phone like this one. From the looks here this one seems to be totally malevolent, I would highly suggest everyone reporting this number to whoever they can, these people are scumbags and should be fined into bankruptcy and hunted down like the garbage wannabe thieves they are! I am glad I have an iPhone with iBlacklist so I can put numbers like these straight into my blacklist to get a busy signal when they attempt to call me.

Female escort service?   Huh...In other words Prostitutes On Call. They should realize prostitution is illegal in the US as well as harassing young children 7 and 9 yrs old with these X-rated cell phone calls.
School official informed me of the call during their class & their cell phone is only used in case of  emergencies. I'd like to know who gives out personal phone information which only recently started with these harassing calls. Where are the government regulators  (likely sitting on their [***]) to bust these people harassing young children.

Recievea call. Did not answer, but called back and number was busy

This was an auto-call about my last chance to lower my credit card payments.  I pressed 1 to get to a person and the guy argued with me about whether he was allowed to call numbers on the do not call list.  I had to ask three times for him to remove my number from whatever list he was calling from before he heard me, because he talked over me the whole time.  I've reported them to the Do Not Call Registry.

This number called my cellphone, didn't leave a message. Ugh...really hate this debt/credit cards,etc. calling cellphones.

I was in asia and the darn call to my cell woke me up in the wee hours of the morning. GMAXB!
