I receive these calls and they say it is inportant and I should continue to listen if I am so and so, and to listen in private. I do not because if they do not tell who they are then they must be illegal to some extent I think.

they are collection for Mazda credit

It's just a collection company. They asked for a particular lady, whom I've never heard of. She asked if perhaps it was a former employee, I said I didn't think so and asked her for the last name again, so she said it again and spelled it out. I told her that person definitely never worked here. She said "thank you" and hung up. Didn't ask me my name or anything else.

How did you find that information Malcolm?

if they are a debt collector:  keep a record of their calls and what they say:
then report them to Warren & Vullings Law firm in JEnkintown, Pa.
Can be found on google.  This law firm can get you money if you can help them say your were harrassed in an illegal way

received a call today

Keep getting calls from (602) 667-0128 approximately 3-4 times a week. Requested, they stop calling, however, the woman I spoke to informed me the only way for them to stop calling is for me to tell them how to contact the person they are trying to reach. At that point she hung up the phone.

Um, if you are "not" who they are looking for then how do you know the company and name of the person calling....

Adriana, real witch piece of work, calls about a debt more than 10 yrs old.... not even on my credit report anymore.

Some witchy woman tried my cell, but seeing an unfamiliar number I didn't pick it up.  No message was left on my cell.  I didn't know the number so I quickly googled it and saw it was a collector.  Right then our main office number rang and some lady was asking for me.  I work for attorneys so I had one get on the phone and tell this beotch (she was defensive and nasty, they cannot recall her name) not to call my place of business for me.  She got pretty nasty with the attorney and told the attorney she didn't know the law - LOL.  From what I've been reading about this collection co., they obviously don't know the law or they wouldn't violate the FDCA.  Everyone, please be aware of your rights under the Fair Debt Collection Act, these bottom feeders feed on those who aren't in tune with this law.  

The number from which she called was (602) 667-0686 and it brought me to this site.

It will not help switching to cell. I just got a call from that number twenty minutes ago and which has been calling my cell for weeks. Today I told him he had gotten Taco Hut and he hung up.

By the way, I have perfect credit. Never have had a debt collector contact me because there was no reason to. Someone said it was Mazda. I highly doubt that. I have always driven Ford Explorers since they first appeared. I think no one really knows who this is. These people will always look for ways to contact people and sadly, this is now common practice to contact our cell phones. I've had my cell number changed twice because of these types of calls but really, its pointless.
