This scammer said she is acting for WorkSafe BC and other lies. The scammer can make up any kind of stories to take the advantage of the victims.

Be careful, she is phishing, don't volunteer ANY information. She is telling people they got a lump sum payment from WorkSafe BC and of course it's not true, she gives bogus info and the unsuspecting victim will then correct her and she will get all sorts of info that way, I'm sure she would have asked for a SIN number at some point if I hadn't hung up on her.

Just got a call and she says she is representing WCB..Asking about wages.  Don't give any info as it is a scam

This lady (claiming to be worksafe BC) called me just now and last year too. She wants personal info(address, and medical records) that is not relevant. She is pretending to be ICBC. She asked for my medical records and address and I have not filed any claim with worksafe B.C.

That is what all the post pending moderator approvalentries are. Be very careful about calls from this number. A quick web search does not associate this number with WorkSafe BC. If you have any business or reason to be talking to WorkSafeBC, it is best to call them on a number you know is good. They will not be calling you out of the blue.

Mar.26.2025, 604-247-5531. Caller with India accent said she's from WorkSafe BC.  Odd thing is, she called a number of a friend I stayed with years ago. And I always had my own number, never associated myself with friends number.

I’m dealing with work and there are web hits for this number relating to work safe but the advice of calling back is definitely good. I am in fact waiting for a settlement.

This is actually a legit number for Worksafe BC claims adjusters.  If you are unsure, just ask for a callback number to settle your concerns.

Got a call today from this number claiming they were from WorkSafe. They asked if my 20 year old address was still valid as they had that on file. That is not accurate as I updated it everytime I move. She was asking wrong Information hoping I would correct it. I told her I was busy and would just call back and speak to my regular case worker and she suddenly claimed she was taking over for my case worker and I was to give her all the Information. I told her I wasn't going to do that and she hung up.
Please be careful. If it sounds off hang up and call WorkSafe back.
