Caller with accent said he was from Remax.

After I answered there was silence and then a male voice saying Hello repeatedly and then asking if I could hear them. I answered yes, and the line went dead.

Exact same thing happened to me

Be alert! Guy with a heavy accent said that his name is Jason, he is calling from Remax and if I want to sell my house. We were talking about this at home and I started a conversation with him, which was my BIG BIG mistake. Somehow, he knew my name and my address. When I asked to contact them if we decide to sell, he said no, that they will contact me. After the conversation, I called back, but the operator said that the number is not in service. I am kind of scared, this was definitely a scam and I don't know what to expect.

Male with accent called. He knew my name and address. Asked if I was interested in selling my condo. He said he would send someone to my home to tell me how much my place is worth. When I said "no" he asked why. I asked for his name and phone number and I said I would call him back in a month. There is something very fishy about this call.

You can do a search on "buy your home for cash scams" to get info on all the fishy ways these crooks can work these calls.

I had the same guy call, Jason from Remax. He wanted to know if I was interested in selling my home. When I asked where he got my name and phone number from he replied his company supplied him with it. I challenged him with the fact I had never dealt with Remax, he hung up!  I errored by answering a question with “yes” and hope that doesn’t come back to bite me!

Very heavy , accented voice, said something about selling house. I just hung up.

Called but then silence once I answered, took a minute before hanging up. Next time number calls I will ask Jason? Is that you? lol

Called, but I didnt recognize the number so I just said "yes".  Caller then said hello about 3 times and "can you hear me"  i just hung up.  A few minutes later the same number came up but i didnt answer.  If it calls again I'm going to blow a whistle into the phone!!

Why would you want to damage your own hearing?

as others have said.. man with accent, representing himself as some kind of real estate person "wanting to buy my property"    STOP WASTING PEOPLES TIME!!

I just had that same experience then someone called right back and wanted to talk to us and I disconnected.

Called 2 times back to back and didn't say anything. Hung up on them both times

Same thing..only they name is now Max..wanted to sell my house..I said 'not interested' & hung up.
The voice was accented and I smelled a rat!

Got a call and when I answered it went silent. I repeated"who is calling please?" several times. No answer. Hung up.
