Called today.  Claiming debt collector's for Rogers on an account from 10 years ago.  Got into a heated call but managed to get the account number from the guy.   Hung up and called Rogers.  They verified nothing due on the old account.  Total scam.   A little conserned on how they got my current cell number when phone is on family plan in fathers name.

Me too.  They got my cell number some how and my phone isnt even in my name.

Called at 8:00 AM  It's the money mart scam.  FOOKERS!!!!

Called again this morning at 9:00am EST - said they were with Rogers trying to collect a debt - I've NEVER had Rogers in my lifetime. Called Rogers and after 25 minutes on hold, confirmed that nothing has ever been opened in my name. Just a scam trying to steal money.

According to Rogers, my cell phone number used to be owned by Rogers, and got ported to Bell 7 years ago, so that is how they believe I have a Rogers account.

Thanks for the empowering  information!! Wish more people were not so innocent n believing scammers.  I have had to educate my 72 &75 year old parents that you cannot look at all people through rose colored glasses because of the scum in the world.  It really saddens me.

I get this call every week and do not answer it. I believe it is a scam that I have read about. They  want you to call back. If you do, it links you to a call centre that charges something like $20 to connect and then $9 a minute as they try to get you to talk for a while.

This is a collection agency based in Vancover that buys 'old debt' on behalf of Rogers Communications. They will call you on Vancouver time which is why here in Toronto Im getting calls late at night.

They keep calling my number but don't leave any message. I don't answer if it's an unknown number to me.
If the call is important, they should leave a message but they don't. These people should be fined!

Called & said I owed $ and tried to get my info. When I refused to give them my address she mumbled something and hung up on me.

Me too, my cell isn't even in my name and they said I had an outstanding Rogers debt which is crap

These people are scamming telemarketing parasites. Don't answer and if you do by mistake don't give them any of your info

Debt collectors use many, many #'s. If they will not clearly identify their number, their company, and/or their name, hang up and block them. Give them no personal info. They want you to do their job for them. KNow your rights, google debt limits in your province.

They have called me numerous times  I blocked them  BTW CBV farms this out to India

I got a call from that number and don't u ever call me again and I know it is a scammer if that happen again I will be calling the police thanks

They start calling at 7:04 every day up to 14 times a day! Calling about a Roger's bill from 9 years ago! Started by calling husband's cell who would not give the phone to me. Somehow they now have my cell # and are relentless in their calls. I continue to block #s as they call but that doesn't stop the voicemail messages unfortunately...

this is the same thing for me.. they only left a message once saying it was from telus,,, i never had a telus account ... so i blocked the number but they keep calling from new ones
