Just received call saying that with Windows technical department. Told me I had downloaded malicious junk files which would corrupt my system and was my computer on right now? They could fix it for me. Name Sean Williams 2889 -----  coquitlam bc. ID 619 gave call back number as: 0061-390-169389.  
Has my internet providers security missed this one?

Just received a call from 604-678-9476 he claimed to be from Microsoft wanted a bunch of info about our PC we in turn hung up and proceeded to call our service provider that will then contact Microsoft please do not give these idiots any of your info and do not click on the website

I got a call from this number i think they ar trying to copy my voice because they never say anything and i always have to hang up first is there anyway to report this number?

I answered this call and it was and apparently drunk guy from India who wasn't even trying hard. "I am from the service department calling about your Windows computer..." At which point I hung up.

I got a call from these people this afternoon. Luckily, I didn't pick up!

SCAM!!!

Got a call from this number at 11:00 pm on Sunday night. Claimed to be from the Canadian government calling about the Do Not Call Registry and how I was getting too many telemarketing calls!  I hung up on them. Scam.

Feb 2 2015 received a call about 5 AM.
It sounded like a group of kids having some fun and I hung up, turned around to resume my sleep.
A few munutes later another call from the same number, this time  I waited till some one came on the line, telling me about a Windows problem in my computer. By then I knew it was a scam, and after giving the person ablast for interrupting my sleep, I placed my phone in its cradle.

Got a call from an unknown number on my home phone with an * as the caller  ID. They left a message to call a 1-800-435-0566.... before I could return the call I got a call on my cell from this 604-678-9476 number  they also left a voice mail... to the SAME 1-800 number ... luckily I checked here before returning any calls.... scam I think so...
The 1-800 number was to a debit collector in Dartmouth NS... I have no outstanding debts and have never lived on the east coast...

Almost forgot Port Coquitlam Police have posted this number as a FRAUD ALERT on twitter !!!

I just got a phone call from 604-678-9476. She asked me whether i lived in 5955 Birney avenue, Vancouver; I said no. Then she said are you working for this company. I said yes, then she hang up and when I called her back it is beep---

Just got a call from this company asking if I was the Charles Campbell on McGill and the Charles Campbell on Union Street. I asked who was calling and they didn't answer. I asked again and they said they were calling from "a company". When I said they needed to give me their name and the name of the company, they hung up. I see they've been doing this since 2009, and that the Port Moody police have issued an alert. I am a veteran journalist planning on writing about phone scams. Anyone who has more info about this can reach me at bothercjc@yahoo.ca. I am particularly interested in phone company inaction, and anything funny. I have a long and amusing history of baiting the folks from "Windows Operating Systems" in India that I plan to work into the story.

Just got a call (604-678-9476), residing in Vancouver. When I heard "cyber security" with heavy accent, my answer -" oh yeah, go [***] yourself!", short silence and phone rendezvous completed... I wish I can get to meet him, you know to discuss the "security issues"  ...On a serious note- this is a breach of the telephone companies customers privacy. In my case Telus. I never like our home listed online along with my name. I tried to get it removed but apparently cost you to remove it, but it's free to posted in online services- kind of backwards I would think. Anyway- cyber ghosts was sent on his way with nice wishes today . Please do the same! Cheers!
