"Ron" keeps calling my number looking for someone that is not me or my wife. It is not a relative either. In fact, I have no idea who the person is. On one hand I understand, someone is late with a payment. I get it. But, this person is NOT me. It is NOT my wife. It is NOT a family member. I have explained this time and again. Sigh, I am an old man and "Ron" contacts me more than my existing family!

Received call with CID info Wells Fargo AUT 605-226-7900. Answered, male calling as http://www.bbb.org/nebraska/business-reviews/ ... ix-az-138000845# when asked.  Asked for me by name asked who was calling he said Lance F. after multiple attempts for him to spell out name and allow me to write it down. He then asked if I knew a neighbor Antonio and Jennifer C. With me again verifying his contact info and address saying he was with Wells Fargo Auto Finance 14 S. Main St Aberdeen SD. I discussed possible violations of FDCPA his response was still about if I knew these neighbors and trying to verify my name. He then switched me to his supervisor Michael D. saying he was also at the same location. I asked if he was a real supervisor and he said yes. I again repeated about FDCPA violations calling relatives friends and others in this case a neighbor possible neighbor, friend but he wouldn’t give their address. He said they were allowed to call consumers for location purposes. I asked if this call was under skip tracing or verification he said skip tracing. I asked for their skip tracing methods he said they had multiple programs. He did get the hint that I would keep asking questions and offered up that he would put me on their do not call list. I asked if they had a more formal verification and acknowledgment of our discussion, he said that they do not send out mailings but would place my number as do not call. Allowing contact of relatives, friends, neighbors, and others. Skip tracing verification call tactics can be extremely deceptive with calls disguised as whatever. Neither guy would admit to being debt collectors but used the term "personal business." Lastly, this is a very thinly used number!
