- yippy| 2 repliesThis number IS Accounts Management Inc. that collects debts for the ENTIRE AVERA health care system. It doesn't matter which one of their hospitals or clinics that you may or may NOT have been to,AMI will call and harass you. I know a LOT of people that they harass. They keep calling me looking for somebody that I don't even know. I keep telling them that I've only had my new phone and number for about 2 weeks, but they won't stop. It's maddening! I'll have to get my number changed just to make them go away.

- Maddie Usher replies to Whats going on?| 1 replyI have gotten this Accounts Management as well. They ask me to verify my social security number, and of course I refuse. I called Avera McKennan and asked to be connected to someone I could discuss this and determine if it was a form of fraud. After several transfers, I was connected with Accounts Management and they once again wanted to start with verifying my SSN. I explained to them that under no circumstances would I verify my SSN when I had no business with them!
- anon replies to yippy| 1 replyTell them DO NOT CALL your cell Phone. It is illegal without your permission.
- anon replies to Maddie UsherCall Avera and ask for the accounts dept. Ask if you had a bill there, labwork or anything that they referred to there outside collection agency. If you did have a bill but can't afford to pay, tell them you were wondering if they possibly have a "charity form" that you you could complete & of course, be nice to the rep who answers the Phone
- anon replies to Whats going on?They are ACCOUNTS MGMT INC. they collect for all of Avera
- Adam m thielsen replies to anonIts not illegal. But it does go against FDCPA regulation.

I tell them I'm not who they are looking for, and when they try and continue. I just give them false info. It wastes their time as well as mine. I haven't been to a doctor since I was a baby. I haven't needed to. If they don't wanna believe that, fine... My name is Kapax. I'm from the planet kissmyass. I invented the tampon before I was a hundred and six years old. I teavel on beams of light. My destination is also my mission. To fun your day up. Now let's begin...

- JojoI have gotten multiple calls and no messages. I am going to block this number, since, by the the looks of it, they are a collection agency? Im 16.. So they have no reason to be calling me...
- jemcI called them back earlier this evening and the woman I talked to was very nice. She asked for my social security number OR my birth date to verify my identity I told her it would be about a month before I could pay them anything and she offered to set me up with payments, and we got everything scheduled right then. She was one of the nicest debt collectors I've ever talked to!
I would recommend that anyone who gets a call from this number to ignore the call, but call them back within a few days. I think they are so surprised that someone actually WANTS to settle their account that they are much more flexible with payments. Just be super friendly, apologize for your oversight, and express your intent to pay your bill. If you do get someone who is not willing to work with you, demand to speak to a supervisor.- Caller: Accounts Management Inc.

- Anon| 1 replyAMI is owned by the Avera Health System. Avera tries to separate themselves from the collection activity by having this outside of their named entities. Their collectors are very tenacious and will be as vicious as they have to collect whatever they can. Don't try to pay Avera on the accounts that have been dumped over there because its been separated as charged off. Most Avera employees will try to play innocent about it but they all know what these people do to collect. Avera's goodie-goodie reputation is undeserved and perhaps more people should know about this business behavior. They will continue harassing your employer phones even after you tell them to quit doing so. My job is on the line for this and I have a whole $49 left to pay after paying monthly. Completely heartless "people".

- Andrea replies to AnonActually it’s against the law for them to call your employer if you have told them no. Get a lawyer
- MaryJust tell them to put in writing and give out no numbers. Keep it simple.
