Am getting a lot of phoney messages, including this one.  Why don't these people try and get a real and honest job.  I answered this one with a "Hello" and got no response so hung up.  What a waste of time.

Got a call from thus number saying they were the irs and I have a warrant out for my arrest and the police were at my house to get me

Have had several of these calls over the past year.  Obviously someone phishing for information - both men and women with a middle east accent.  As soon as they are challenged, they hang up.  This time, I played along to see how far they would go.  When they suggested that they would require online access to my computer, I drew the line.  She was quite courteous and apologized for calling me by mistake.

I feel sorry for unsay computer users who get sucked in by these things.  Otta be a law!!!!

If there is anything to the theory of Karma, I hope these blood suckers die a miserable death!!!!!

This number called me today , and got me to go into my computer when I did I seen nothing wrong.
They asked me if I was over 25, so I lied and said I was 29.
Then the guy handed the phone too the lady he was with and she started yelling at me.
At first they called with a unknown number.
So I hung up ; and they called back again

I got a call which was a recorded message from the "Internal Revenue Services" on my landline. And when I attempted to return the call on my cell phone with my ID turned off, I got a message that the line was disconnected.

Yep--just had a great old chat with 'William Hunter' who clearly was from Delhi.  Scam City. Told me my PC was in 'distress from many many virus' and that it 'would soon die'.  

They called about 10 times over the last two days saying something about my computer, it would download hidden files and I need to give them some IDs from the PC. Again, Indian accent with lots of background noise. They also said they got my number from my router....scam

Indian guy wanted to "help me" and to "protect my computer"...I told him that I pray that he and his family will die of cancer...and then hung up.

The scam has changed, now it is the IRS filing a lawsuit against you.  They tell you if you need details to call them back.  This is an automated call, and a variation on a scam call I have gotten several times since this summer (2014).  Ignore the call.

Male caller with accent calling from Windows saying I have a problem to log on to my computer to fix the problem.

Male caller with eastern accent saying I had a problem with Windows to log on to computer so they could walk me thru it.

I only have a landline for my mother's LifeLine service. Can't wait to get rid of it. Only get scam calls. This number called today. I didn't answer. Appreciate this site!

Said they were calling IRS and to call them

Got a call from (607) 723-1168 today (Binganham, NY per caller ID) telling me the 'IRS' is suing me and to immediately call (209) 243-6009.   I'd heard through news channels there was a scammer pretending to be from the IRS - so, obviously ignored it.   I have not researched the second (209) number I was urged to call.    News sources cautioned people that this was a SCAM - that the IRS doesn't work this way.

A woman with a strong foreign accent (perhaps Scandinavian) called from three different phone numbers. One said "out of area"; two were from same New York numbers that are being reported.  I could hardly understand her but she seemed to be saying that my computer was reporting multiple errors from a malicious source. Each time I told her I could not understand her and then hung up.

This number appeared on caller id.  The computer generated voice said that the IRS was filling a lawsuit against me and gave an alternate telephone number to call.  I called the number on caller id and no one would answer.
