Received the call from "EXCHNGE STUDENT" at 8:19 PM - I NEVER answer unknown names or numbers - so NO CLUE what they were trying to peddle!

received a call from this number, and i am registered with the do not call registry. How is this able to happren?.

Kind of amusing, actually, a recorded voice with a strong oriental (I think Chinese) accent, said she was an exchange student from Germany.  Apparently East Germany.  Far East Germany.

Caller ID said "Exchange Student."   I didn't pick up.   Answering machine had only a hang-up on it.

My caller ID says Exchange Student. How is that person getting my number? I am on the no call list!

phone rang twice. I answered and no one on there. I wanted to be removed from the calling list.

I received a call from this number today, we did not answer it.  I did call the number back and it has a message of some telemarketing service.  You are given the option to have your number removed from their list.  We will see if they call back in the next few days.

The U.S. governments' do not call list is constantly being ignored by these telemarketing places. The heads of these companies and their employees should be fined and serve jail time.

The caller ID says "EXCHNGE STUDENT" with the A left out of "exchange". They use various numbers to violate your privacy. They are scammers. They are rude. They are abusive. I use Phone Tray Free (google it) to selectively block callers like this without paying extra to the phone company (that is not spam - that is a testimonial).

Called on 7-19-12. Did not answer, left no message, caller ID said student exchange. I am on the do not call list...so how do they get thru????

This "Exchange Student" number keeps calling. I would like it to stop

My mother got this call "Exchange Student."  I told her not to answer it.  When I got to my home, it was on my caller ID.  This place is busy calling everyone.

This number called 3 times in 35 minutes !!!! Seriously !!! Caler ID says "Exchange Student "

Just got a call from this number.  Same thing, came up exchange student.  I do not answer ANY calls that I do not know the number.  If somebody truly knows and wants to talk to me, they will leave a message.  I honestly don't think there is a DO NOT CALL LIST. I think that is a scam too.  What good is a DO NOT CALL LIST?  I just think they wanted to see how many of us would fall for that and we certainly did.  The jokes on us!

The joke is on the people who cannot READ! There is no magic machine that stops telemarketing or scammer calls from getting through. If you get illegal calls, YOU must report them or they will not be stopped nor the people/companies fined. It's pitiful to read how many of you fell for the idea that there is some "Do Not Call Fairy" out there keeping this magic list hooked to the phone lines and cellular air waves so that you won't get unwanted calls. Sheesh.

Called said "exchange student" and left a message with A REAL German girl and when my answering machine let her leave a message she went silent and hung up!  stuff if you Me >:(! All the girl got to say was: "Hello or Hallo in Germany, i am inviting you to an international...." machine made her stop. I GET ABOUT 3-8 CALLS SOLICITOR A DAY! Their wasting breath if they want me to answer their dumb calls.

Same as above:  Exchange Student.  Let it ring.  Anyway, I am amazed at how of the posters are ignorant about the Do Not Call list.  It is limited to companies that are selling you a product.  So and Exchange Student host request does NOT fall under this preview.  Also, if you contact ANY company about a product they are selling, that gives them the right to call you until you tell them not to call you.  YOU initiated the relationship so it breaks the rules of the DNC list.  (if you notice, the same acronym as the Dem Nat'l Comm, so understandable about rules being broken.)  Also, charities are exempt from the DNC list.  It does not stop political calls, etc.  If you subscribe to a magazine, they can still call you.  Pay attention to what you are signing up for.  Good Grief!
