Number called my phone & left no message.

Got a call from this number and a message was left saying that I had just called this number and asking me to call them back... SCAM  /  I had also received the same message from another number recently with the same scheme.... beware

Most likely your phone number was spoofed to make calls to other people.

Call from 613 909 0801: a person who identified to work for Bell indicated that it was necessary for me to go online on my computer and remove illicit software someone had planted to look at my emails. The person would help me do it.

More like "Go online and we will install illicit software in order to thieve and extort money from you." Never let strangers get on your computer.

Here I was, outside with the dog, expecting a call from my mother from overseas - the phone rings, I run to get the dog on her leash, run into the house, "hello?  Hello?  HELLO!  Silence - scam - when you answer the phone and there is that silence just before someone starts  to speak, hang up!

Called once, checked here and found it’s a scam. Thanks to Panasonic, they’re blocked, it rings once here, they get a busy signal 👍
