Received call but no one on line. If this is indeed from Discover Card I do not currently have nor have I ever had one of their cards.

This is a SCAM. I called discover this number is not one of their collectors.

I get these nuicanse calls . I never pick up so let it ring. If it is from Discovery card , I have never had a Discovery Card, so that is amazing.

Just received a call from this number. One I don't have the card or have ever had that card.
I only know it's Discover because it said it on caller ID.I turn the answering machine off so
these creeps and other like them can't harass us. We don't have credit card bills, we pay in
full within a week of use. Nice try but not working here.

614-283-1942 is Discover Financial aka the Discover Credit Card out of Ohio.  Stayed on the line to speak w/ an operator to have my phone number removed from their files but only got a nasty operator.  Contacted Discover (1-800-347-2683)  Spoke w/ a Stefan (good generic name LOL) & asked to have my phone number removed from their files.  He assured me my number would be removed (yeah, right)  GIVE THEM A CALL, I'M SURE THEY'D LOVE TO HEAR FROM YOU.

When someone got on the phone offering to lower my credit card debt, I asked them for the last 4 digits of the card they calling in reference to... they immediately hung up.

I never answer a call,from anyone I don't know..if you answer..they keep calling..I do not have a discover card anyways..only called once so far...since i didn't answer..lets see if they call back.

this is not discover i called them to report this scam it is either identity crooks or debt collectors looking for someone with your last name

now tis is a good one-  my neighbor passed away-   a family member  answered the phone and they claimed they were from Discover-= family member told them their  aunt had passed away and  that she didn't believe in credit cards- didn'thave one and certainly didn't owe anything( she  was one of those who felt if you couldn't pay for something you didn't need it)- and the woman on the line got ugly and told them-  they were still gona call to get the woman.. How's that for stupid callers! (oh and the biggie- the poor lady had been in a nursing home for the past 6mos.)

Now I'm getting calls from them- and I don't have a card (dont have any credit cards for that matter)-  and they're calling all hrs. of the day & night & weekends.   Woman told me-  she could call when ever she wanted- so i just don't answer anymore-  still very upsetting!  I'm on the DNC lists (really not worth anything), and just  tired of them.

If you get a call from 614-283-1942 offering you low interest rates do not give them any info.  The number of this call indicates it originates from an OX Ohio phone located in or near New Albany, Ohio. Do you believe legitimate credit cards do not do random calling to sign you up.  I don't.

It can't be a call for an overdue balance from Discover because I don't have a Discover card (or any other credit card) and they still called me.

I just called Discover myself and it was confirmed that it was not them that called and that they would not ever call for "information to be verified". When leave a message for a return call, they not only leave the specific name of who is calling and the reason for the call. The only time they have called me was to confirm
if I made charges because they were made from different states when I was travelling.

It's harassment when you call me at work. Please STOP CALLING. I NEVER deal with solicators. This means you.

My new hobby - keeping a list of the scammers who call me & reporting the info online.
