I believe thatt hanging up when they have a live person is against FDCPA laws that is harrassment..get the call logs and a Recorder and it is on...

I dealt with a very nice woman at gcservices named anna matthews..very nice....how ever they ended up transferring me to another collector...And they were liars...I was told i was on a rehabilitation program for my student loans stated 6 months consecutive pymts and you can request to come out of default well anna had already given me info about where i was at in my program.. when they gave me the new collector it seemed as though he was adding mths on...It had gotten to almost a year and i still had not gotten out of default...I asked after scrapping pennies to pay them monthly..when can i come out of default the rep told me this was my last pymt then i could submitt my letter...I had to disconnect my call to put money on debit card i call back in to ask where i was in the program another rep..told me I still had three more pymts before i could submitt letter...I then started to go off..Asked for supervisor...they transfer me to another rep...I told them when they can get there t's crossed and I's dotted they can get the pymt but not a penny more until then...later on found out about direct loans consolidation..A WHOLE BLESSING..the way i am running my mouth about them...GCservices is going  to go out of business pretty soon consolidate your loans take away 2 interest rates and get 1 LOW one...and pay what you can pay! not you demanding what i do not have... they need to get there accounting together...oh and they were over charging ex charge me 50.00 monthly but only 30.00 goes to my loans

Take them to small claims court , keep track of  when they call and the day, time etc... file small claims for harrasment minimum is $1,000.00 it works I filed in kansas and won 1,000.00 in all fifty states
because i told them the person they were looking for this wasn't their number and they didn't believe me

They are a collection agency looking for people who didn't pay their student loads. In my case they were contacting everyone with my name in the Columbus, Ohio area hoping to find the right one.
