this number is from an smsglobal site - i.e piggy back number that messages can be sent from by companies and organisations for purposes such as appointment reminds and promotions, not neccessarily a scam or spam.

Some of their big clients include samsung, microsoft, aust-post, suncorp, rio tinto, acer, fujitsu, fisher&paykel, bosch.

Obviously smaller companies and business'' have access to this and private/individual users also i guess.

I got the exact same message from three different numbers +61447100304 +61447100250 and +61447100303.

I received a message from this number twice in the last month.
They are pretending that they know my bank details and that they will deduct an amount of 77.54 (or 33.77 the 2nd time) from my bank account in a few days.
They have a link in the message which is apparently there to lure people to call them back. If it is a number which charges a fee that would explain how they make their money ;-)
Really anoying that kind of spam!

Got 3 SMS from this number +61447100250 which said missing text and lots of ******* all over the place, and a name Colin Jennings RICS Government, I called the number and it says "This number has been disconnected"............Exactly as Burn above says, it is probably a Premium line and they get money when you call them back.

Solution : check your next phone bill to see how much your charged for the call. Refuse to pay your telephone company that amount, unless they promise to investigate. It is the telephone companies who sell their customers names and numbers to anyone in the first place, and that is often how the spammers send e mails, SMS and scam calls etc out to the public. Get onto the do not call register so that your name and number is not then sold. The telephone companies do not investigate abuse. When you phone to complain they ask you to identify 3 calls, when you identify 3 calls they have some other excuse, but they are the ones who sell your number in the first place.

I got a text from this number saying I had won limited 21st Century Financial Education Summit Free Double Passes. When I didnt reply or log onto the site it directed me to I got another one a few days later saying they couldnt hold onto my passes much longer.

This number belongs to a person who tried to scam me on a vehicle on ebayebay Item number: 150946329381.
Wont allow you to view the vehicle saying its now in the Northern Territory. asking for payment via Google checkout, beware

received 2 sms from +61447100250 claiming child was absent from school. please notify the school by return text with an explanation for this absence. also received sms's from 2 other similar numbers +61447100303 & +61447100304

Received a SMS from 61-447-100-250 with the text:

Received a SMS message that just said "A debt recoveries phone 612422257211 '  had an email info@usdebt.com.au
There was no company identification or clarification on what it related to.  Wondering if it is a scam?

Hey everyone,

I have a feeling that this number is used for when the sender wants a reply by text but no calls. It might be a general number used across the board for when companies don't want their actual number to appear (but it obviously can't be all zeros).

I received reminder texts for my dentist appointments in Sydney a year ago from this number, to which I confirmed by texting a reply. Turned up at the dentist and all good - no scam. Then today I received a text from the SAME number asking me to call a recruitment agency I applied for a job with two days ago. How on EARTH could both my dentist and a recruitment agency send a text through the same number being two different companies?

Who knows? Stranger than a root canal.

Thing is, I'm not a Cbus member, so I figured it had to be a scammer.

Like Kathy I got a call from +61447100250 and from  +61447100303 both with the same message (asking me to contact them ASAP for authenticity of my degree).  
As far as I can see, the calls come from Australia and I live in Europe.
