I get calls I don't answer sometimes and look the numbers up on line from time to time. This is the only number I know I've looked up multiple times. I've never answered. They've never left a message.

I repeatedly receive calls from this number. No message and when I am to actually answer, they don't say anything. Since it is a "charity", it seems even the Do Not Call registry doesn't help.

Someone from this number called more than once & each time since we weren't home, the machine came on. If the call is so important, then their a_ _es WOULD HAVE LEFT a message, otherwise it must not be too important!
I don't care if I 'offend' anyone (meaning you TN if you don't like this)
Whoever you are doing this, you need to either 1.SPEAK when the person answers, or 2.LEAVE A MESSAGE if a machine comes on otherwise QUIT CALLING harassing everyone!
Wow, I guess all of us who are writing has the problem, not the person/people calling from this number...NOT! - GET A LIFE WHOEVER YOU ARE!!!

Just got a call from this #, and i said "hello" 3 times, and there was no one there, but no audible hang up either, so I hung up.

they called me and said nothing.  I googled the number and found this site so I called them back to get some identification from them.  The answering machine said that they were from local firefighters fundraisers.... not going to make any donations that way are they?

They always call me and hang up! Sometimes they don't,sometimes they say who they are. Ive had my number for about 2 years now and they've called me at least over 10 times in one year!

IF these people are in any way affiliated with Franklin FD, the city shouldbe notified of these calls. They might say that they don't have anything to do with the fundraiser, but I am sure they are aware of when there is an event going on, and who is raising money.

I am lodging a complaint to the City on this matter, and giving a link to this site. I suggest others do the same.
As for the rudeness issue, "TN" needs to get a clue. Several times we have answered politely,(as many  others here have) but no one speaks, or says anything. NO message on machine. So, the rudness STARTS with the caller, not the home owner. Do these callers walk on all fours, or drag their knuckles on the ground when they walk? Be human and corsial and you might get a better response.

If they are going to solicit for funds, they need to have some lessons on being cordial. As of right now, there is no way I'd give a cent to their organization for whatever reason.Besides I don't even live in Williamson county, so they shouldn't be calling at all.

received a call at 8:06pm on Wednesday, May 27, 2009.  I did not ask who it was as the man just started talking or mumbling something but I stopped him and said, I don't know who you are but you are calling to late.  He said what is too late and I said the Federal Law does now allow solicitation of funds or any after hour calls.  

The caller said oh, is that right...."so, what time do you want me to call you" trying to be a pushy.  I told him that I never want to hear from him or his organization again.  NEVER.

looked up the U.S. Laws about phone solicitation and I was wrong.  I said the cutoff time was 8:00PM but the law says 9PM (CRAP, that is too late) Here it is:

No person or entity shall initiate any telephone solicitation to a residential telephone subscriber

before the hour of 8 A.M. or after 9 P.M. (local time at the called party's location), and
unless such person or entity has instituted procedures for maintaining a list of persons who do not wish to receive telephone solicitations made by or on behalf of that person or entity. The procedures instituted must meet the following minimum standards:

Written policy. Persons or entities making telephone solicitations must have a written policy, available upon demand, for maintaining a do-not-call list.

Received a call from this #. Hang up. Called it back and recording advised "no longer in service."

Same as person above. Received a call, answered, but the person already hung up. Called # back and got a message stating that the number is no longer in service.

So the Feds say the cut off time for these type of soliciting phone calls is 9pm? Because they're called my number at least a dozen times after 9pm and several times after 10pm. One was close to 10:30pm.

They also start as early as 8am. JERKS. I've probably had at least 50 calls from these idiots recently.

I don't believe this company is on the up and up. JMHO

And I don't care if it hurts your little tiny feelings, "TN"... Find a way to get over it.

Someone called me three times in twenty minutes from this number. No one said anything.
