    Holy crap people. It's just a university asking for pledges. It's completely legitimate. What's more, if you just politely tell them that they have a wrong number, they literally never call you again. (It happens, people drop their number, you get it and get their pledge calls along with it.) They're WELL AWARE that if you didn't attend university there, you likely have zero interest in donating anything.

    But if you scream at them and slam the phone down, all you're going to do is make them assume someone who didn't own the phone picked it up. They can't just delete numbers from their registry because someone was a jerk. Holy crap, just use some decorum and be polite/patient. It's just a student trying to help their school. Calm down.
