Report a phone call from 617-963-8334 and help to identify who and why is calling from this number.
- Marty| 1 replyTried calling my wife's cell phone from my cell phone several times from Recent Calls app. Each time call was rerouted to 617-963-8334. I got a recorded message that call could not be completed and to call Customer Service. I restarted my cell phone and physically put in her number and it worked. No idea how or why her number was rerouted.
- BobbieLooked up phone number on Chrome for Park Vue Inn in Anaheim then I called it and was redirected to this number 617-963-8334, I was told to enter the number I wanted to call?

- Todd S.| 1 replyI get the same as "Cyberdan" 's symptoms. Also calling my family/friends in Japan with Consumer Cellular SIM card installed. I was organ ally able to call through to Japan the first time I tried, then, the same:
"All above sounds familier. My wife is in Japan right now I call her with me cell 01181-XXXXXX and it redirects to 617-963-8334 but no one answers. I call on my home phone and it goes through. I just tried my cell again and it went through but my phone log shows the 617 number. No one has ever called me. Maybe there is a virus in my phone that only comes on when I call out of the country."
I thought "virus" at first too, but I think one of the many apps I'be installed/used from Google play might have contained hidden malate that hi-Jacks the phone dialer/SIM card. Have to wait until Monday to talk with Consumer Cellular support.- Caller: n/a
- Todd S.My symptoms are:
SIM changes my 011+81+90-XXXX-XXXX (number in Japan) to 1+(617)963-8334 each/every time I disl. It's as though SIM has been hi-jacked, or the Android phone dialer app has been injected with malware.
Will talk to Consumer Cellular on Monday.- Caller: n/a
- SteveOh replies to A DetectiveSo what's the fix? How do we remove it from our phones?
- SteveOh replies to Todd S.Consumer Cellular support has no answers or fixes re this issue as of February 27, 2018.
- RaineThis number keeps calling me .. and when I try calling anyone, this is the number it dials. How??
- Raine replies to karenSame thing happens to me! What the heck?!
- LBTried calling a friend in Ontario from my cell phone and it reverted to 617-963-8334
Happened several times. Did not listen to any message as I was so surprised this happened. Hopefully my cell phone is not messed up. - Jack| 2 repliesdid a callback to +1 617-863-8334 using the recent call directory. The dialed number answered with an error message, but imprinted on my phones SIM card. Now the phones Sim card diverts any number redialed from the recent call list to +1 617-863-8334. Only way to fix it is to junk the phone. Sinister!!!!
- Jack replies to MartyMatty you are correct. Like my phone any numbered redialed from the recent list is redirected by your phones SIM card. Your phone is now JUNK. Taking that phone to another carrier will not fix it. The imprint is where the setup program is loaded on your phone. The # was issued by sprint to a Massachusetts person. Sprint needs to KILL this number. LOL.
- KathieGot a call from 843-421-5941. When I called back the 843-421-5841 number I noticed that it showed I was actually calling 617-963-8334. Yup the nasty scammers are at it again. Anything to try and get money out of someone so they don't have to work at a real job.

- Ron Z-Man replies to karenHey, I changed service provide Sprint to Consumer Cellular. No one at CC can resolve this problem....even insisted I Factory Reset my phone and I did...a few days ago "RECENT" calls returned to my sister (local 830) and "#Number changed by SIMS" message and dialed 617...I placed "BLOCK" and even cleared all my call history...still have problem if I use 'recent' button and choose calls that I missed to connect...switches to this 617
- Ron Z-ManHas the 617 number hacked my cellphone? Or hijacked my service? I let it ring and I am asked to dial a number I want to call..."I m thinking, why would I call this number to call a number?"
What legal remedy...FCC complaint?- Caller: 6179638334
- Ron Z-Man replies to Jack| 1 replyWhat if we replace the SIMS card? That is reset factory settings and install new SIMS card...I demanded Consumer Cellular give me another SIMS after they could n't resolve this problem...as if they probably don't know about this already. Since SPrint seems to be the original source, maybe FCC should take some action against Sprint. Never had this probel until I moved to CC. Maybe it's a Sprint payback for leaving their service? Conspiracy lol but dam p'd off.
