Thanks all,  Received 1st call today, of course I did not answer, better things to do with my time. After reading all your input of the constant calls, my Fax machine is now on and waiting to give their ever loving ears a treat.  After the treat, they list the # as a Fax line, and I never hear from them agIn, never failed yet. If I'm home, I just look at caller ID and have plenty of time to pick up wanted calls.
That Fax is a treasure, try it, you'll love it.

On caller ID, they were RDS SVC. They asked if I was still getting my New Yorker, which I am, told me the price was going up soon but that as a "preferred" subscriber, they could lock me into a lower rate. I assumed a credit card was about to be requested, so it felt like an identity theft scam to me.

The New Yorker contacts me all the time, via email, about the current issue or to offer various special deals. I told the caller my subscription was set to auto renew, and was already billed to a credit card. And I also said she didn't sound like a trained call center rep to me. I told her this felt like a scam, and said goodbye. I hope she finds honest work.

They always call at 10 AM and 2 PM

They call  me every  day,  I am so  upset,  when I answer nobody speak and take off the phone.   I think  the number phone is for geogle,  becuase I was investigation the name owner phone and is unclear.

I will get to report it with police becuase I feel they harrassing me.

If you call them back they will take your name off  their calling list

It's a telemarketer for a company trying to sell magazine subscriptions. I fell for their act before and ended up listing a lot of money. I had to report them to the  BBB in order to have the Mayer resolved because the company refused to cancel my account. They said I was not allowed to cancel my account for the magazines and I had to pay $75 a month for the next 5 years!

Don't talk to these people. They will screw you over and laugh about it!

Kept getting calls from this number for weeks asking for Mary. Called the number back and followed instructions to be put on do not call list. A few hours later received call from local number (304-870-3017) asking for Mary. When I told them to put me on the do not call list and threaten to contact better business bureau. The girl when on a speech on how I can win this and that while talking over me. Finally had to raise my voice and was told "oh, you want to be one of those people" LMAO...

Called. I didn't answer because I didn't recognize the number. I am already on the do not call registry.

Have received multiple calls.  Left a message once with nothing on it.  Have called several times previously.

These calls are a pain in the a-s.

whoever it was asked for me by name -- I told them I didn't live at this # anymore.  Hopefully that will work

I was receiving a couple calls a day when I was out.  They left no message.  When I finally decided to be the martyr here and answered pleasantly ... And after a few seconds of waiting for them to come to the phone, I found they were representing Guidepost Magazine.  She wondered if it was coming in good condition .. And wanted to inform me the price was going up next year.  I told her I receive this subscription as a gift so had no concern for the price.  Ended call with a smile.

This caller attempts to call every day. I was led by our representatives in Washington to believe that their No Call List would eliminate this. NOT! The no call list amounts to little more than a person passing gas in a windstorm.

Rules for telephone security (phone has caller ID and recording facilities):

1. If you don't recognize the calling number, don't answer the call (if it's important they'll leave a message).
2. If it's a toll-free caller, out of area caller, or unknown caller, don't answer.
3. Don't try calling back. This tells them yours is a live number (and the calls increase).
4. Don't press 1 (same reasons as 3.).
5. Any contact you attempt to make with the caller(s) just plays into their hands at your expense.

Possible remedies:

1. Your phone company might offer a call blocking service. Contact them.
2. Some phones have call a call blocking feature built in.
3. Several stand-alone call blocking devices are available in a price range of $50 to $100.

Remember, there are plenty of people out there who want to get their hands on your money.

Caller id says Glbl Rds Svc.  Sounded like a telemarketer. Lots of calls ringing and voices in the background. Asked for my husband by name. I said he was at work and they hung up on me.

Purchased a stroller and now we get many calls a day.

got a call from this number twice on april 30th and once on may 1st.
only scammers call my land line so I pretty much never answer that phone.
