SAMETHING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I dont know how to stop them!!! This is NOT REAL but still they are harrassing my family.... I was scared but now knowing they are a scammer Im ok but they wont stop calling.What can we do??!!

These people have called me repeatedly at work and home and threatened me and my co-workers and demands to speak to my supervisor. The man idenitifes himself as Daniel White. He left me a message swearing and talking about sexually explicit things he wants to do to me. This is unbelieveable! These people need to be stopped. They say that a large lawsuit has been filed against me and the funny thing is I have never received a thing on this on paper. I am sick.

My story is just the same, the names, the threats, not providing written confirmation of the debt. Has anyone called the policy and filed a report? I, unfortunately, bought a pre-paid Visa and made 2 $50  payments.

They called me 8 times at work yesterday. They called my cell last night and started talking sexual and insulting me. Threatened to have me put in jail and said they filed a suit, yet I have not been served. I know I owe nothing. They wanted my credit card or they would call my HR. I said no. They DID call my HR department at work. They know that I have had fraud in the past, so they just ignored it, but are you fricking kidding me? I called the police department last night. They are looking into this.

Yesterday, a DANIEL WHITE called me from 626-768-2536 to my cell phone for a nurse taking care of my husband.  After questioning him as to how he got my cell phone number, he really didn't answer the question but said my number was being used fraudently, and that she was very late on loan payments, which I know were false, since she hasn't taken out any loans. (She's been with us for 3 yrs and would have told me, since we are close) and then went on to tell me private information about this nurse, which is against the Privacy Law. I asked him what company he was with, he said American Defense Office, asked for his number since it came up UNKNOWN on my ID.  I just told him I would relay the message and his number to her.
Then I called him this morning to ask how he got my cell phone no.  STEVEN CLARK answered and demanded to know my name, which I wouldn't give him.  I told him Daniel White broke the Privacy Law in telling me private information. He hollered at me constantly demanding my name....I tried to talk with him, and all he hollered is "I just speak with my wife not anyone else"  over and over then just hung up.  
I called him back to say he was rude and I was going to report him...he just hung up.
I called this nurse and told her I wasn't even going to give her the number and not to bother calling that number since it was a scam.

This Simon Morgan guys keeps calling me as well.. He is threatening me saying  ' I guarantee I will get you fired from your job if you don't call me back ". I called him back to give him a piece of my mind and surprise surprise... no one is home. I called my lawyer and they even confirmed this Simon Morgan is a joke and there is no way they can follow through with any or their threats... OMG how frustraing.. I owe nothing .. even filed Banktruptcy a few years ago.. The scary part is they have my soc #.. how the heck did they get  it?

received a call  from  a  Mark (at  work) several times stating  they have a law suit against me

Ok, I just received a call from a so called Paul Smith, they called me cell phone number plus work number and yes they are a bunch of crooks.  This will be the second time I had to complain to our attorney state general because of these calls.  Please DO NOT GIVE any personal information at all.  They are not collection agency's.  They are a group of idiots hindus using American names like, please give me a break, really.  But I know for a fact they are fradulent.  I just got into them and told them.  I dont know how they're doing it but they're using numbers which can't be traced.  Just do me a favor and complain to your attorney general so they can get investigated.  Even though they try to scare you just remember they are not going to sue you trust me, it's FAKE!  Good luck everyone.

I also received these "time sensitive" phone calls from mark taylor today in fact. he left me 2 messages this morning and when i tried calling him back with the number he provided me the number was disconnected then . Im getting tired of dealing with these people. cant they get in trouble for some sort of misrepresentation. ive been reading all these people who are being threatened among other things. how is this legal?

These people are freaking nuts.  I contact Cashnet the place that these people claim they are representing and they informed me that is is one hundred percent a SCAM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They just harass and harass and I was infromed by the FTC and Attorney General's Office to hang up on them and not talk to them.  I was also informed by the FTC that they are tracking all the numbers as they come in.  Please be aware they are cons and do not answer anything.

After reading all these messages. I just thought of something.  I made a online applications for a cash advance. The guy I talked to was  Justin Floyd. He had all my info and my email address. Right now I looked at my email and I have like 100 emaisl from differnt lenders for a cash adavnce. That is where they get the info. You have to fill out all your personal info and give refernces. WOW I can't belive these people do this. I was so scared I was about to give them money and take care of it later like he told me. He kept telling that the sheriff dept will be at my job or home in 30 minutes.  But a friend stopped me from doing it.

So I just talked to "David" from this place (don't know if that's his real name but he finally broke down when I called him on every imaginable number that I could find on the internet for this scam). And he told me what the gig is.  This is a SCAM, they admit it, they harass people and eventually people give in with their checking account information, credit card information, more personal information, you name it.  He broke down and told me this after I used 3 phones and called every number that I could locate for them repeatedly until they wanted ME to leave them alone.

But it's like what normal collection calls do, they provide lots of harassment to put pressure on you to make it so you leave them alone.  We have laws in this country though that you can't make up claims that aren't true when doing a collection.  Clearly, these people do, so it's quick to figure out that this is off-shore.

For me?  I have time on my hands so I kept calling them back.  They claim they are in the UK.  I was honest with him that collection companies in the US usually aren't even this harsh with their harassment, so I thought their scam quickly unravels.  But their initial claim to me is that they are from a payday loan place.  I have applied and used online payday loans in the past, and now I won't because clearly that's how they got my information.  But it's interesting... he's very offended when I called him "Indian" but ended up laughing when I called every number I could find to call them.  This would be a great 20/20 story or newsmedia story if someone had a blog.

At the end of the call, this "David" invited me to call him back so that he could explain more.  I doubt I'll call him back at this point, as he leveled with me that it's a scam.

Here's how to unravel them for the reader who is reading this:

When you get a call from them (or anyone claiming they represent an attorney) demand to get their BAR number.  If the attorney's office won't give it to you, they probably aren't an attorney.

If they hangup on you, do what I did.  Keep calling them back with every number you can and be relentless.  Unfortunately, since this is some offshore place, there's not much that the local or state police can do.  The Federal authorities can do something if it's a country where extradition is possible, and it's easy to get a US number with a vonage box these days, so it's not hard for offshore people to do this scam.  I recommend to warn your friends and relatives but also BE RELENTLESS BACK.  Keep calling every number you can find for them.  When they hang up on you, call them back.  Spend a 1/2 hour of your life making their life miserable until they tell you what's going on. By pressuring them in return, my hope is that they will find that it's not worth doing this scam and go onto other criminal things that they do.

WHATEVER YOU DO, DON'T GIVE OUT ANY INFORMATION OVER THE PHONE.

Lastly, this "David" said he was doing this (when I simply asked him "why?" -- he retorted quickly that he hated Americans.  I asked him "why?" but he couldn't give me a good answer. He used some strong language about Americans I won't do justice here to repeat.  Just be vigilant everyone, be very vigilant.

they just called and said that my brothers gf took out 20 online payday loans they used david harrison law office in cali. i cussed them all to hell and back then googled the real david harrison and spoke with him personally he is aware of the scam going on and gave me the number to the lead investagator for the FBI and i called and reported it to him his number is 3109963810. the number the scammers were calling me from is 19252378548

that same number been calling me to and harassing me and my co-workers they are also calling from an 12022418274 how can we stop this madness i went to my local police station i even call the california police department what is the next step please help me out
