I am in Vermont this nuber called my cell phone with a satilite TV offer.

This person called me once. I just looked up the number and it said the name is
Miles, Denver
406 North St
Brooklyn, IA 52211-9444

Got a call on my cell phone, didn't answer.

WTF do these "people" gain from this BS?!?! I NEVER answer calls I don't recognize because of [***] like this!!!!!  F-OFF already!!!!!

Got a call from this number and did not answer.

I received a call on my cell phone (which by the way, you need to call the National do not call list to protect your cell number now, as I've heared that cell numbers are going public). I Googled the number and it is a private address. This address may not have made any such call and the homeowner may be a victim of a practice called IP spoofing.

I have received many of these calls and believe that perhaps it is because I have my resume posted on several well known sites. It is possible that scammers are creating bogus business profiles to obtain telephone numbers, addresses etc.

Please comment if you have a resume posted on Monster, Career Builder or other such sites and are receiving these bogus calls; I am anxious to test my theorey.

Here is the key.  Keep them online. Keep asking questions about them.

Are they affected by the credit crunch with AIG?
How do I know you are legitt?
Where are you based out of?
Which car's Warranty is about to expire?
Where is 641 area code? Are you from there?
Do you have a website?
etc etc.

It drives up their costs. If we can keep them on the phone for just 3 minutes per call, it significantly costs them more money. Don't fight it cheat them and make the phone company some money. Additionally, an excessive cost will drive them out of this market but it needs your help and your "genuine" interest in getting this product they are pedeling.

So I have the starting record of keeping them online for 3m25 secs before he hung up with me...hehehe.

I also got a call. I missed it but when I called back the call couldnt go through.

I just got a call about 20 minutes ago. I missed it, although I did call back. It said it was an invalid number. Very strange! what's the deal?

According to Google the phone no. is listed to a Denver Miles in Iowa.

Just received...  I get these all the time.  The phone number is most definitely spoofed as you cannot call it back.  So in all reality it is a spammer/scammer using a VoIP system to spoof phone numbers and "Denver Miles" is probably a retiree in Iowa used at random out of the phone book.  If you check some of these older calls you will see when the supposed caller is tracked down (at a different number) they are unaware of what is going on.

I imagine the only fix is to call your cell company and ask them to track down the caller and file a do not call lawsuit against them.

Got a call from this number on both my personal and business cell -- googled him and I don't know anyone in Brooklyn, Iowa -- much less a Denver Miles.  By the number of all these messages -- Denver's certainly running up the minutes.

I just got a call from this number.  I'm in California.  I just put my name on the do not call list a week ago.

Im in Texas and I got this... where is he getting our numbers from???? I hope they werent leaked....

At 11:12 EST two calls from 641-522-7625 no message.

They called me and said that I was 2 months late on my car payment, but I don't even have a car in my name!!  I also live in Texas.
