That's right, the first trade is commission free so that Ignatowich can get the account.  Then he churns the account time and time again.  The customer almost always ends up losing money, and so do the countless wannabes who work for Jim.  He pays his employees nothing, and laughs all the way to the bank.   ICC itself may not be a scam, but ICC made a big mistake taking on this group.  You say ICC is publicly traded.  So what?  Just because a company is publicly traded doesn't make it legitimate (ever hear of Enron or Worldcom).  You can check the stock price for ICC, to say the least, they haven't participated in the economic recovery that much.

One thing I forgot.  Ignatowich also brainwashes each and every guy who works for him, and also his poor customers if they are gullible enough.  The guys who posted above are showing telltale signs of that.  Leave before Ignatowich fires you, the guy does not want you to succeed.

    Accurate insight
As an Ivy league graduate I did not expect to be treated like such a fool by my employer. The only people that Bob Estevez lies to more than clients and prospects is his employees; my advice to anyone would be to not work for or with this man. Bob Estevez is the definition of a cheese dick broker aimlessly throwing darts. Almost every aspect of his business is, if not illegal, immensely frowned upon by the investment community. From lying claiming that he "took down a block" of a certain financial product when in fact he has to buy it for a the client or prospect in the market (very illegal), to concealing commisions from clients, to having unlicensed employees impersonate licensed employees in order to have more people on the phones pitching (very illegal), to illegal marketing and cold calling practices, it is clear that he has little interest in running his business in a legitimate fashion. While they do occasionally make money for clients, 0% of the business they generate is invested into research and analysis. Esteves merely listens to the wall street rumor mill, watches the Yahoo finance page and selects products that have a sexy, marketable story. The ability to condense the facts surrounding a financial product into a quick, marketable phone pitch is far more important to this man than the general, economic viability of the product itself. I would not consider a recomendation from this first generation, hispanic american valid even if it was just for a good place to get a taco in NYC.

the reason his name and some of his brokers to not come up negatively on "Broker Check" is because almost every broker beneath estevez has had his license for under a year. The reason bob estevez's name doesn't have ugly charges associated with it on broker check is because he maintains many clients, most with very small accounts making clients far more likely to merely close their account with him rather than pursue legal action. Furthermore, he is extremely careful in how he uses his language. One will never read a lie from him about "taking down a block"of a recent bond IPO in an Email or fax - he will only lie like that over the phone, this is just as illegal but is 1000% harder to prove.

What you say may be true, but I consider it the vilest tactics.  I usually call back, they say that they were to call me back (never true), and I tell them to never call me again--sometimes quite rudely on my end.  Today, another call.  I will not call them back when it just is "Brian Thompson--Give me a call back at 646-722-6593."  Period.  Fine, they want to make money, as do you.....but somewhere there should be a light that goes on over your head.  I do not lie, cheat or steal or tolerate anyone who does.  'Nuff said!

For those called by this number, the call is from ICC - Investors Capital Corporation.  This is a chop shop brokerage firm, and you got called by their New York office.

The names of the brokers in this group are Andrew Parisi, Jim Ignatowich, Robert Estevez, Mike Murphy, and Paul Cammareri.   The last brokerage these guys were at got shut down by FINRA and the SEC (If you want more stories about these guys, just look up 866-403-2078, 866-543-3934, and 646-722-7770, and 646-448-3535).  As you will be able to see, they harass secretaries all day long.  They sell bonds that were bought for a lower price some time ago, and are quite risky.  They also sell risky, thinly-traded stocks.

Jim Ignatowich's market knowledge does not run very deep.  His strength is sales.  He got wiped out, and wiped his clients out, on tech stocks 10 years ago and he also lost a lot of money on real estate this decade.

Their source is no more than the Martindale Lawyer Directory.  They often call multiple attorneys at the same firm on the same day, often within five minutes each other.  They really think personal assistants are not smart enough to see through their lies.

If you are a personal assistant reading this and they have called you, write below how they treated you on the phone, and let's work together to make a big dent in Jim's business.   Doing business with this group is asking to lose your money.

Hi.  Just got a call from ICC.  The caller ID was "blocked", so I don't know if the call came from the 646-722-7770 number, but I googled ICC blocked calls and got this forum.  I work in a large corporate law firm and the fellow who called the atty I work for didn't identify himself.  (Bad manners, huh?)  Anyway, I asked for his name and whom he was with.  He mumbled "ICC" but I can't remember his name.  He said my boss was expecting his call when I asked.  I put him on hold and asked my boss and he got a disgusted look on his face.  With that I got back on the phone and asked what the matter was he would like to talk about and he became somewhat aggravated and said, "I'll just call him back later."  Gross.  Real professional fellow, for sure.

I worked there for a few days and know all the names listed. They have a script and specifically call people out of the Who's Who of lawyers, males only. always a "personal call" always a "I would only call when I had something good" when they got the unsuspecting person on the phone.

im sorry guy but they are top brokers and they probably have never even heard of this site. While you receptionists or whatever moan about getting "rude" calls, they are making money on the phone.
