I just received the umpteenth call from these people.  They have been calling and harrassing me for months now.  The one today was the " Crime Agent", but most of the time its just a "debt collector."  It is scary because today he left a message stating the last four numbers of my SSN.  How do they get this information.  They have even called my parents phone numbe rin the past and harrassed them.  They have called my work phone, cell phone, etc.  How can they be stopped!

i am not sure yet if this is the number that called, but it sounds like the same guy. He called me a year ago and gave the same speech. I called the cops, they came out and he called again, so the officer talked to him. I thought maybe it had stopped, i havent heard from him in a year...until today. He called me at work AGAIN, i told him i knew it was a scam and that i would call the cops again...so he responded with perverse words and i hung up. I have him recorded numerous times saying very vulgar things and have logs of him calling 3 and 4 times a minute for over 2 hours! our call logs show we had over 200 calls from him in 3 hours time...and the cops witnessed half of them!! The cops have to supena the phone company to get the number he used, then determine what they can do from there. The cops even talked to him on the phone and recorded it and he was singing a song about hating stupid americans and hoped that we all died.and calling them names...when i asked him for his name, he said my name, i asked for his number and he tried to give me what he thought was my cell # but it wasnt, then he said, you want my social, i said YES, and he gave me MY FULL SS#! i didnt respond, so he said, you want my bank name, i said sure, and he gave me MY banks name....now i am putting a fraud alert on my credit report, trying to change my social, and trying to find the number he calls from to block it....if it turns out to be an international call, it is the FBI's responsibility to take over...which means, it wont stop. If i ever get to the point to where i find these SOB's, i will drop a bomb myself!!

I have recieved the same call from that guy too..but they are calling me at work i called an attorney and he told me to tell them to stop harrassing me at work

Please let me know how to get these people cause at first they called my home but when i busted them on it they had other people call my work place so far i have recieved 3 more calls at work first one the man said his name was Mike Johnson he tried to tell me i had taken out a payday loan that was deposited in my account for 350 so i asked him from what payday loan he than told me it was from US CASH ADVANCE i told him he was wrong than he put me on hold and when he came back it was a diffrent guy his name was Edward Collins and he told me he was an attorney for the people suing me, that guy was very rude yelling at me so i gave him lip back which he didn't like it oh well and to top things off he tried to give me another attorneys name that will help me with this ( yea like i was born yesterday) the # this collins guy called from is 805-918-4394 and the attorney he wanted me to call is Daniel Richards 858-248-4838, and than there is Matt Watson now that guy gave me a phoney case # which is c006372 his # his 914-373-7144 and last but not least there is Mark Henry he called today at my work and i was proud of myself cause i did all the talking and i got to hang up on him.. his number is 646-918-5162 i'm writting all numbers and names down.. sorry it is so long but i'll do my share to help get these creeps my e-mail is hearts4vicky@yahoo.com lt me know how i can help

i agree with vickie and the same phone numbers have called me also. they also use 214 858 2483,914 816 4671 and the overseas nubers 646 652 0446 and 949 956 2358 and 987 928 2683. such a scam and the guys that have called me are nigel,mike johnson, john and david. jeff and shaun hood. the calls have stopped now,so with all our complaints maybe someone looked into it.

We have been getting calls frorm this same number, 646-918-5162. I love how they say that by ignoring their calls and not contacting them we are agreeing to the continued investigation by whomever. I realize that in some countries any work is better than no work, but obviously these people hae no conscience. My husband is a disabled Vietnam Veteran and like many others we took out online payday loans. We are working to pay them, but I guess some people want to insert the knife a little deeper and continue to twist it. The sad part is that when one number gets to well known, they will simply change to another one and continue the scam. Here is hoping that no one will fall victim to them and lose what money they have.

IF YOU HAVE BEEN CONTACTED, YOUR IDENTITY HAS PROBABLY BEEN COMPROMISED!  NEXT STEPS:

1) Contact the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) and file a complaint by phone (877-438-4338) or online (https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov/FTC_Wizard.aspx?Lang=en).
2) Add your name to the National Do Not Call Registry (https://www.donotcall.gov/register/reg.aspx)
3) Review your credit report and place FRAUD ALERT on your report by calling ONLY ONE of the credit bureaus (the one you call is required to notify the others).
*NOTE: You can place Fraud Alert on your account for a minimum of 90 days and maximum of 7 years.
*NOTE: If you plan on applying for any type of credit where your social security number is needed, you will need to notify the credit bureaus as the Fraud Alert blocks anyone, including yourself, from having access to your credit.

*IMPORTANT: Keep a record with the details of your conversation and copies of all correspondence!

Definitely a scam!...if you want to pursue this further, contact the FBI by email: ny1@ic.fbi.gov or by phone (212-384-1000) and tell them of the situation.  I contacted the FBI in NYC and they have no records of this number as their own or of this scam.  If they contact you again or you feel like pursuing this, act scared and conforming when you talk to them and get any information you can from them like additional phone numbers, address (to send the money of course), and Western Union or funds transfer details.  Ask them to verify your social security number...if they can not, this is a scam as you cannot be prosecuted without it!

Financial Crimes Unit has been harassing me at work for the last two weeks. Today they called while I had a co-worker in my office... "Officer Boun" was calling me a motherf***** so I put him on speaker so that she could hear the profanities pouring out of this guy's mouth!!! They will not give me a straight answer on anything. The first "officer" that called actually said they were part of the FBI. I have found several posts on the internet about these guys. ABC news actually has an article out about them and how they are attempting to scam people out of monies not owed.
