My proven way to stop these calls......because they will share to other telemarketers that you do this:

If you have free incoming, like I do.

Answer, speak immediately so the computer will transfer to a live person. Then have fun with it, tell them you are so interested, but keep saying you are doing things, like answering doorbell, getting pen and paper, getting credit card.

The more you can waste that person's time (and wages) will get you off call lists faster than any "do not call" list. I do this, and they never call again, and I have rarely been getting new calls.

Hit them where it hurts, the wallet.

If a nice percentage of people did this, all telemarketing would probably stop...

And please feel free to pass all of this along whenever you post comments on other numbers...

BTW: the best I've been able to do is keep them on the line for 11 minutes, but with only coming back to the phone for 15 seconds at a time, three times. So my 45 seconds cost them 11 minutes of wages.

They keep calling.  I don't answer.

You're an idiot - it is Canadian Tire Financial Services (ie. Canadian Tire Mastercard). I have two of their credit cards and get calls from them regularly.

You're an idiot - they are not scammers, it is Canadian Tire Financial Services. In other words, Canadian Tire Mastercard (I know this because I have two Mastercards with them and they call me all the time with special offers). Canadian Tire stores won't know anything about it, so no use calling them.

Got call from this number it appears it is scam so i googled and found this.. so i blocked the number.

Received a call from this number telling me that I violated CRA tax regulations

647-288-3810 is not from Canadian Tire. Just a bunch more of lazy scamming burden on society losers.

Called for the first and last time today. Didn’t answer, and they didn’t leave a message. I blocked this phone number.
