If it was truly a robocall then there was a prerecorded message that played when answered.
Why do you never tell the readers here the details of the scams these "scammers" try to pull on you?
Or, is it that you never actually answer the calls and just make the same uninformed guess each time?

Not as defined by the FTC:

If you answer the phone and hear a recorded message instead of a live person, it's a robocall. Robocalls trying to sell you something are almost always illegal. Many are also probably scams.

A robocall is a phone call that uses a computerized autodialer to deliver a pre-recorded message, as if from a robot. Robocalls are often associated with political and telemarketing phone campaigns, but can also be used for public service, emergency announcements, or scammers.

I think people confuse robocall with robodial
    From AI Assist:
    Quote:
A robocall is an automated phone call that delivers a pre-recorded message, while robodialing refers to the technology or process used to automatically dial phone numbers to deliver those calls.  Robodialing can also include calls that connect to a live person.

    I quite agree.
Much like how many people confuse spam and scam.
