You are so ignorant!! Yes we can make you stop calling!! There are laws against harassment!! But thank you for posting this statement as it will be use against you in a court of law!! By you volunteering/admitting what you have done and will continue to do, makes everyone's case against you even stronger! I have taken a screen shot of your statement and I am going to present it to the State Attorney's Office. It does not matter who you call harassment is harassment!!

* You will be paying punitive damages for harassment!!
* I have your repeated calls logged and I will be providing call logs for my case
* Lastly, your comment about how you "expect" us to do something... wrong statement dear! Again, the law protects us from ignorant people like yourself and to harass a United States citizen after they have repeatedly told you that you have the wrong number is illegal and punishable by law with federal prison time and or punitive damages!

Report them to your state's officials, as they are currently under investigation and the more evidence investigators and Congress have, the better.

When you are calling for someone who no longer has the number, yes you do LEGALLY have to remove that person when they tell you to stop calling. I'm a law student and we JUST studied about this. Not that you are even really probably the ECMC spokesperson, moron.

ECMC message left stating it's a Federal matter to call back as soon as possible. Called back to find they are looking for someone we never heard of or know then claimed we were put down as a reference so I asked who was put down as a reference, he said our phone number (we had for years) but the persons name on the reference is nobody we know. Told him to stop calling or I will file a complaint against ECMC, they are still calling even though they know it's not the right place they are calling. Find it shady that the ECMC post claims if we call you then you owe us money or you were put down as a reference when clearly they are making numerous wrong calls from several web sites posts.

I found a funny way to control these control freak callers. I answer the phone saying Hola! (oh-lah') This makes them think they have called a Spanish speaking household. When they ask for the name of the person, you reply "Ob-Ley Este Corn ee Toes". This makes them think you do not speak English.
This turned the guy away so fast that he apologized for having the wrong number. Lol Owning him on another level, the moment he thought I was only Spanish speaking, he deemed me too dumb to have anything to do with student loans. Dude got got.

I grew tired after a few or twelve months of their calls when every time I'd assure them the check's in the mail...they never believed me, got testy, and just had absolutely *no* patience! Mom used to tell me 'Don't let your mouth write a check your a$$ can't cash.' So to avoid making empty promises (letting my mouth write check), I avoid their calls- my a$$ can't cash a check from an hollow checking acct and neither can their a$$es. I finally realized I had to stop promising to send payment in a few weeks, knowing full well I'll be just as broke then as I am now. Indeed, I learned how to block unknown calls that end up demanding money of me. They get me all upset and cause me to lie every time, giving false promises of money. Ugh stress! These calls result in my diabeetus to sky rocketing because a buffet of anxiety relief lures me to dive head first into a red velvet cake for some extended camping of gorging on a sinful life of luxury. I'm thinking of parenthood & maybe put my kid on the corner every day, earning a few bucks toward the $85,000 monkey on my back, before some ignoramus educates them about their rights and child labor and then they start hollering about a right to food. I might need enough kids to make a few football teams if loan sharks start talking organs for loan payment scheme. A lovely degree and a job that doesn't require one...I better get busy baking the kiddies...right after work.

I don't believe this is a collection agency for student loans. These people called my moms house asking for my son...who is 11 years old! This is a scam!

They keep calling not nice and stated they can not take me off the do not call. I keep telling them they have the wrong number but will call me anyway. Rudest company...

These people actually called my former employer and told him that I owe $7,000.00.  I don't owe them anything.  Is it legal to spread lies about me?

Like you, I have an unknown name! ECMC, whatever that is. I called the number back. We pay for an unlisted number and are on the Do Not Call List! Reporting! Get a real job! This is not a recording!

We owe no one money and know no one who would give us a reference. In the future, your number will be blocked.
