Just got a cal from 661-249-1374....stated they were claling for one of my reps.  When I advised that she was out ill they asked to leave a message.  I asked who he was and he advised he was an atty with Victor Reed Law Firm.  i asked if they were calling about a client and they sd yes.  I advised him i could help him but he refused to tell me why he was calling.  I advised again that if this was a personal calls she is not allowed personal calls at work.  He then stated that my rep would be arrested in the morning and proceeded to hang up on me.  

i call back and asked for a supervisor and they hu on me.

I called back again and they hung up on me.  each time I call back they hang up on me or put me on hold for long periods of time.

Yes this is [***]. they said it was the us attorney office and they said they are going to send cops to my work and job to pick me up.

I just got a call from these @$$-hats stating that my co-worker had a legal matter pending against him and the he or his supervisor needed to call back ASAP.  Like I am going to believe some India speaking douche has the name John Smith....maybe he has been reading Stephen Kings Dead Zone.  I need to find a way to report these morons!!!

Yep...got a call from this clown....indicated he needed to read an affidavit. Started off by saying "The Department of Crime Prevention". Wooooo....scary!  Preceded to read a bunch of "scary and legal-sounding" BS .  Woooo....scary! Also said to not be surprised if I'm picked up by "law enforcement". When the caller said that, I stopped him and stated that 1) To put all relevant information in writing and send to me at the address of record they have for any alleged complaint (and if they ask you what that address is...DO NOT TELL THEM. If they have a legit claim, then the address should be supplied). I then stated that due to the quality of the call and the fact that "you have an accent that I have difficulty in clearly understanding", I will only address this matter in writing so as to not have any misunderstandings.  Of course the caller tried to overtalk me while I was talking....I just continued talking and then stated that when I receive the information in writing, I would respond appropriately.  I then hung up.  They called my cell first and then my land line; I blocked their number on the Cell and will simply "answer and hangup" if they call my landline.

I had the same encounter with a calvin cooper. I filed a IC3 complaint form with the FBI. I would suggest everyone else do the same. it only takes a few minutes

Same thing happened to me when I applied for a payday loan.. I've gotten a million calls from places I've never heard of.. will never do that again!!!  I just don't pick up and block the numbers..

Just got 5 calls in a row from "Calvin Cooper" and he refuses to quit calling my direct number. Unbelievable. As I told him, it's against the law to do this and it's harassment. I'll be filing a complaint with the consumer advocates as well. He threatened jail, lawsuits, and wouldn't say what it was for. Demanded to speak with my supervisor. Refused to let me speak to his supervisor. Called me names and said the police would be at my door shortly. Um, you couldn't even give me an address you had on file! Good luck with that.

This person called me saying that I was going to be arrested at my work if I did not pay them $489.00 for a American payday loan that I did not pay back.  I do not have a payday loan! They read me some "legal" papers that I could not understand and I asked them to send me the papers so I could read them for myself.   I was told that they would not be able to do that and that I would be arrest on Friday at my work.  I said I didn't understand because I did not have a loan and they yelled and said that I was just playing games with them and again I would be arrested.  My husband works for the sheriffs office and this is a scam.  Scared me and I almost sent them the money.  My daughter was with me at the time of the cal and got all upset.  She was crying because she thought I was going to jail.  This is a horrible scam.  I certainly hope this person is arrested.

How do u file an ic3 the FBI

I keep getting calls from this number 661-249-1374  they even call my work and my cell 5 times a day.  Finally answered tonight and this guy who I couldn't understand stated that their was a lawsuit put against with my social and that I needed my atty to call  him, stated I didn't have an atty and what this all about. He stated that it had to do with US Cash Leading Co., stated I didn't have any payday loans . He stated that I borrowed this money and that i needed to pay it back today 12-17-13 in the amt of $756.23 told him to give me the name of the atty which he stated the name was Austin Black and the number is 949-954-4364. I called the number and a girl answered stated I wanted to know what this is all about, she asked if I was a customer stated no, she asked were I got that number stated from 661-249-1374. Stated I would be arrested on Monday 12-23 and spend 36 months in jail if I didn't pay.   I know this is a scam!!!!   Turning them over to the FTC.

I agree it has scared me also, and I figured it was a scam.   I went through the same thing.

This 6612491374............. number is a complete scam collecting on debt already paid they have no ethics and no ideal what they are doing in this industry once they are put on the spot about collection laws etc they hang up on you please please be careful everyone its.... companies like this that give good agencies a bad name

Got a call to my work and my supervisor had taken it and wrote it down as a message to me before I came into work. Found out this is nothing but a scam. It is just like a call I got from a Shane Watson from Andrew and Cos Legal Associates.  I both of these calls the same day and a week before Christmas.  The guy I talke to at Andrew and Cos said I would bbe arrested if I didn't pay them $485. to clear the debt I owe.  I knew I didn't owe anything since the payday loans I did owe were already paid a few days before. They were places you walk into to get a loan.  hey don't go after you like this and they certainly don't hire Legal firm places to collect for them.  I don't know how they got my work number ( the both of them) but they haven't called back since.  I do have one of the calls in my voice mails that I have been saving in case I need to use it against them in a court of law.
