I started getting the same calls after I applied online for a cash advance. I'm thinking that this is how they receive the information they use.

They called my work then they called my cell. Same thing they had my info...scary. The funny thing is when I asked questions they put me on hold to get someone else and when I asked him for the affidavit number or account number he asked the girl what to say to me.... I filed with my local police department and changed my numbers.

These folks are attempting to scam me. I have a number for them to actually talk to someone in California but they want me to send a whole lot of personal info to a fax number in Texas... really? I'm expecting a call from them today, I'm gathering as much info as possible, and then I'm contacting my state attorney general, the BBB, the FBI, and anybody else that would be interested in knowing. They claim to be from Kroger Legal Associates, @ first, I thought Kroger Food which through me for a loop, but I had them repeat the name of their business. The actual number they call me from is 209-736-7665. The number they want me to fax my personal info to is 979-665-4854

please post on here anything else that we can do to stop these people. I changed my number now they are harassing my husband. still claiming to be looking for me...I don't get it. I contacted the local police and was told since I didn't send them money there is nothing I can do.

Are you saying that the BBB was agreeing with what Kroger Legal Associates said?

Yes on February 24, 2012 I received a call from this number 814 334 1010 an Indian accent man telling me I had a legal process and that I had to settle in court with a payday loan I don't recall making, said his name was Jacob Brown and Roger Fedrick I don't know who or how they got my info I know there are a lot of scams out there trying to collect money from people just to make money I'm afraid of my info that they have I later contacted my recent payday loan and found out there is a law firm out there who has stolen identity and cases of people so watchout for scams people out there,
