This is the number that comes up whenever anyone with a Skype account calls, so it isn't usually telemarketing.

They called & wanted my email address so they could send me an important msg about my taxes.  I told her to remove my name & number fm her list and she hung up on me.  SCAM...

Got a call from this number today.  The man was looking for a Mary Kay consultant and wanted to ask questions about the products he recently bought.  When I called the number back the automated message says it is a skype number?

Received call from this number at 12:50pm EST.  iPhone said its from the "Palmdale Area".  I didn't answer, and they didn't leave a voicemail.

I just got a call from that numbee like 2i minutes ago, i ignored it and they left a voicemail that sounded like moaning and then an elephant noise.

Yes, it is a Skype™ call. I confirmed this by calling my own mobile phone from my desktop home computer using my personal Skype™ account.

I have been getting voice mails from this number and they sit there and breath into the phone for a minute or so and then hang up. Perverts. They don't scare me. I've turned them into the prosecuting attorney, so just keep your voice mails. I am sick of people being ridiculous.

Looks like not only 0241-0248, 661-748-0240 too.  I got a call from someone at 661-748-0240 and the caller gave me another phone number to call him when I needed.  When I call him, I need to add country code 852. Does that mean he personally in Hong Kong?

I got a phone call from this number on my cell phone, right after receiving a phone number from 661-748-0240 on my landline phone. I looked up this number, 0240 and knew about the Microsoft scam but I was expecting the call on my cell phone so I questioned the woman from Timeshare Solutions about why they had such a similar number as this other scam from Microsoft which was telling people that they had Trojan Horses on their computer. She said that it was because she as well as them are using a skype phone number which comes out of CA. I hope that this helps clarify some thing. Timeshare Solution is a valid company.

This # is people with skype account, my sister in barbados use this skype account so we both can stay in contct with each other, if the # calls
ur house phone, u will see the email address of the user name show up on the caller id, this is no scam, i'm talking from experience .

Someone claiming to be offering a job for DHL. You receive packages and then ship them getting $30 per package. Responded to a job posting in Craigslist from TADBEL ?  Got an e-mail from someone supposedly in Danbury CT about a phone interview. I believe I'll pass.

Obscene and harassing call from this number. Filed police report.

Was definitely a lying slime ball from India/Pakistan with a very heavy accent trying to tell me my laptop or computers connected to the internet were getting errors and/or were being used to spoof IP Addresses.  He says his name is Daniel Bryan and is from Microsoft Security - LOLOLOLOLOL - YA RIGHT!  An accent like that with a name like this???!!!   HAHAHHAHAHAHAAAA  - and I'm sure Microsoft does house calls - OMG SO FUNNY!!!!!!  Oh - so they try to get you to type in a URL - DON'T YOU DARE DO IT!!!!!  or you will infect your PC bad!!!!!!!!!  A stranger cold calls you and tells you to go to a URL - YA RIGHT!!!!!!!!!!!  

This is the 3rd time I have gotten a call from one of these idiots and since I'm a network security engineer and have been in the computing field over 33 years now, I just LOVE to play with them.  Leading them down their would be golden sucker path to just rip them a new one before they ultimately hang up on me.....so cool to F them over like this and waste their time.  Say something like this, "What's the IP Address and MAC number of the NIC you are seeing the errors on?"  HAHAHA  or ask them what the COMPUTERNAME is of the laptop/PC the errors are occuring on in the reports they are seeing".  They obviously don't have this information folks even tho they state they do!  

Hey, as long as I can keep them on the phone they are not able to call anyone else to try and hurt them.  So beware of these a$$holes - all 3 calls I got were the same kind of heavy India/Pakistan accent.

Very inarticulate person called, claiming to have something to do with a home improvement company.
Couldn't put together a coherent sentence when I told him that I was on the "Do Not Call" list.  He had no idea what I was talking about. Told him that he was breaking the law by calling me and that if he called again I'd have him arrested :)

jay if they called after 9:00 pm it is illegal and you can sue them

Been getting repeated calls from this # during the past 24 hours.  Whats up with this?

I called Tech Service at Epson, using a number I got from Google.  The person who answered pretended to be from Epson and advised me that my computer was compromised and that's why my printer was out.  He sold me on a package to fix my computer remotely.  Of course, after he pretended to work on my computer, it was exactly the same as before.  I stopped payment on my debit card at my bank, but I had to work quicklly.  

P.S.  I reached the actual tech line at Epson today and resolved the problem quickly.  
Apparently these people got their number onto Epson or they have a way to intercept calls to Epson Service.  I called Epson, and they said, yes, a scam operation has been intercepting their calls.  

The telephone number the scammers used is 661 748 0240.
