Has anyone here ever heard of the dark web? If not, its probably something everyone should be aware of the way technology is lately. Anyway, I've read every comment on this thread and come up with a theory. Obviously there's a significant amount of prank calls associated with this number. However, there are just too many coincidences between some of the stories on here. I checked usernames to see if anyone was just filling the thread with nonsense, i didn't really see any of that. But, pranks aside, this number can be used by anyone for any reason and I believe that one or more of the people making these calls might be what's known as a "black hat hacker", someone who does obnoxious or scary things to people through technology just for fun. One or more callers may also be serial killers or serial criminals. Just a few things to consider.

There's another phone number you should never call, but I'm not going to feed the fires by posting the number. If you're stupid enough to do the research and find the number and call it, that's on you I guess. there's a supposed Illinois company called "Boothworld Industries" and my theory about these people is that they are a group of dark net serial murders who specialize in the "remodeling" of people. People who have called say that they are asked for a full name and if given a false name, they will be asked for a real one. In one case, a man gave his ex girlfriends name as a joke. On the date that she was scheduled to be "remodeled", he received a private Illinois phone call during which he heard his ex screaming and begging in the background. A man spoke to him telling him his appointment had been fulfilled. He was then told  by the original rep that if he did not recruit 1000 more members for remodeling then he himself would be remodeled. Sounds like absolute [***], I know. But the dark net is real, and this is mild for dark net murderers. I was an idiot, calling the number before I did any research, thinking it was just some prank number that was meant to make you think you called a haunted corporation. I reached a recording for the company, who apparently weren't at work at the time. the very last post about this phone number was in 2018, saying that they too had reached a recording but got a call back from a private number asking to schedule a remodeling appointment. Don't be a moron. If you make calls like this, you can download viruses on your phone or end up being stalked by some really bad people. I called this morning and I am hoping I don't get a call back.
(PS some people say it's a prank because the Reddit user who originally posted the number had the anagram of Boothworld in his surname "Bloodworth". I disagree because Reddit is a clear net site commonly used as a forum by dark net users. what idiot would put their real name on that forum, and how do we know he's not the man running the business, trying to create a sensational internet story to lure his victims? Don't call stupid numbers, I beg of you!!!)

You're an idiot.  Just now heard about the "scary ol' Dark Web" and you are now regurgitating scary ghost stories for reasons I can only guess. I suppose you believe in slenderman and Fazbear. If you are lecturing about the Dark Web, its days are numbered as a menace.

To me, you are a greater danger than your phantasms on the “dark web” and fantasies of “remodeling”,  you perpetuate and delight in spreading your ignorance and hope to infect others. In doing that, you are evil.
