Got the same message as above and same time sent as well

Message from First Savings (not) asking for my debt card.

I work at the company servicing First Savings accounts. We or First Savings are not behind the calls. If you are contacted by us, we never ask for card numbers, expiration dates or CVV.

It is a consistent recommendation to not respond to any messages, whether it be email or voice mail, where the means of reaching the sender is provided in the message itself. If you are contacted by your bank, call the bank by using the contact information written on your card, or on the website of the bank.

02/28/12 12:01pm sent following text message to my cell:
"((First Savings Notice)Call 6782552632

received from sprint this morning, says that it is from Western Union

Same thing...got it today as "issue@sprintpcs.com".  Same call-back number (678) 255-2632.

RE: a recent restriction on your account.

It's total BS!  I called Sprint and notified them.

Been getting texts for 3 days

I got a text from issue@sprintpcs.com telling me to call this number. glad I looked here first. Looks like they are using alot of different names. Definetly a scam.
I repported it to sprint and verified my account was ok.

Total Scam. Called Sprint Customer Service Directly about the text that I rec'd and they validated that it was a scam.

I hope fleas infest their armpits.

stop sending text messages to my phone.

I got a text from them about 4am this morning. The made it appear they were texting from SprintPcs services and that they had issues with new restrictions on my cell phone account. The scary part is that I actually am a sprint customer and receive text often regarding my bill being due. But the 678 number alerted me that it might not be sprint, so I googled it and found myself on this page. Thanks for all your comments! I called sprint to notify them of the fraud attempt in their name.

Received this same message at 4 am.  Annoying.  My # is on the Do Not Call list.  Don't know how they got my #.  Ignoring these butt heads...

This is fraud.   After the call it progressed to text messages from different sources, all frauds.   I reported it to First Savings On Line who confirmed the fraud,  and forwarded the text messages to Verizon.   Both are investigating  but from a Google search, this has been going on for quite a few months and no one is able to put a stop to it.

Good lesson here,  never call back or use links sent to you and give logon or personal information.   If you do get something asking you to verify, go to the source directly yourself, the normal way.  Most likely you will find the other a phishing or fraud.

How do they get your cell numbers.  Most likely a random dialer.

Verizon told me how to block these text messages.  As they were coming from two different sources  @firstsavingsonline.com   and @vtext.com,  I had to block text messages from both.

Got a text today, claimed to be BENEFICIAL BANK.  I have no accounts at beneficial.  Did not respond.

I received a text message to call 678-255-2623 from 440@vtext.com.  Check your cell phone provider - they usually have controls where you can block numbers and web addresses.  Verizon wireless has it under spam control, internet option.

I received the text from this number - 0800@sprintpcs.com stating Hello. We found a problem in your Metabank. Call 678....1) Why is 'Sprint' asking about my Metabank.  2) I have never hear of Metabank.
We must be very careful when receiving any of this messages by phone or text.

SCAM CALL

text from this number. wanting credit card info. says it's "Beneficial Bank alert".

This phone number belongs to a company called Xilogix, LLC. I ran a trace and even called Michael Vassen, the general manager who confirmed owning the phone number. the website is xilogix.net and their main phone number is 678-255-2600. I've reported this to the Atlanta Secret Service.

Perhaps you all should *67 and call Mr. Mike at 678-255-2600 and ask him to explain why one of his company's phone numbers is trying to scam people.

I researched the number and it belongs to a company Xilogix, LLC in Atlanta, GA. Ironically it's a technology company; you do the math... I called their main number and the General Manager Michael A. Vassen answered and I asked him if he knew the number. He admitted the number belonged to Xilogix and then I disconnected the call.

His companies website is xilogix.net.

A quick business search shows this url http://corp.sos.state.ga.us/corp/soskb/Corp.asp?159475 provides the business address of 2812 Spring Road SE, Suite 210, Atlanta GA 30339 for Xilogix, LLC.

Stumbled across this old post, and had to laugh for a sec as I'm a customer of that company. Clearly you have no idea what you're talking about as many VOIP services can spoof the outbound caller ID to show anything they want from 999-999-9999 to 123-456-7890. It's commonly known that many scammers pick blocks of randomly known phone numbers and use them to spoof with. It's actually a type of "Joe Job", but since you're so smart at hunting down scammers then you know that right? RIGHT?

Also there is no "Atlanta Secret Service", in addition to that you should report CC fraud to the FBI as they deal with that not the Secret Service. Yes a quick business search shows the location of their company, and I go by there weekly to do maintenance on my servers. Yes it's a technology company, and "ironically" I did do the math, I came up with "you're a dumbass".

Get off the internet, you're too stupid to own a computer.
