The person using the calling card could be part of a scam - as previously posted, the number itself is a generic number that is generated when a caller uses their local-area access numbers from a long distance company calling card. There are many calling card companies - it could be any one of them. And it could be a legitimate call when someone is calling you using a calling card.

I just got a call from this number 678-901-4597 at 1:40 pm mtn time in Utah.  I did not answer. The caller did not leave a message. I called the number back and got a fast busy signal.

This 678-901-4597 call me all the time at night (EST)ever since 8/17/08 till now. I did not answer and never leave any message.

This is Noblecom.com's toll-free number:   1-888-520-9215    I just spoke with tech support (press 3) and they are investigating who has this number since I reported that hundreds of cellular phone users with private numbers are receiving harassing solicitations and hangups at all times of the day and night.  I told tech support to log my call and forward the log to their upper management since these types of calls are coming from one of their customers that pushes scams and moreover, that I would start the FTC on an investigation of Noblecom and its client that is assigned this number.  Thanks.

:::::   I suggest each of you call Noblecom at 1-888-520-9215 (which costs them about 25cents per incoming business call) and flood them with complaints.  Advise you block your caller ID by first dialing *67 or 1167 preceeding calling the 1-888-520-9215 number of Noblecom.  The subject 678-901-4597 number, used by scammers to hide their identity and to defeat the Federal "Do Not Call" list rules/regulations, is part of a pool of numbers Noblecom has, and they admitted it belongs to them.    I left them with NO DOUBT that if they didn't resolve the matter, my peers on whocallsme.com will instigate a massive amount of calls into their technical support (press 3) and marketing (press 2) departments at a high cost to them.   Lets FIGHT BACK.  Regards all.  Terminator

Just received a call from 678-901-4597. I was shocked to see it come up when I googled it. The message that was left sounded arabic or middle eastern, possibly an African dialect, not too sure. I saved the message to listen to it again later. Weird.

I got strange calls from this number also.  It turns out that this is the US number used by an international calling card.  My son in law picked up a card in Iraq and used it to call my daughter.  So some of these calls could be from way out of town.

What insurance company do you all have?  This guy could be getting your info through insurance information.  Have you been to the doctors recently?

He called me saying he was investigating something. Sounded like he had a Jamaican accent.

I got a phone call from this number today at 2.30 p.m. I picked up, but it was silence - very disturbing. I'm going to call Nobelcom customer support as advised above and complain.

I just got that call today at school and they left a wierd message that i couldn't understand. I tried to call back but the verizon wireless chick said that the number is not available. wtp.

This person has called my cell phone several times.

This number called my house at 2:05 am!!!  It rang one time and I hit *69 but when I called it back, it was a busy signal.

I got a call from this # too!  At midnight and at 12:02.. No message left and when I try to call it back it just keeps a beep sound and then goes to a busy signal..  I was worried and Im glad I look this googled this # to find its nothing to worry about.  tried the noblecom # twice but no one comes on.

Middle of the night call from 678-901-4597. 3:30AM. One ring then hang up. *69 and only received a message that all circuits were busy. Was not the first time we have received calls in the middle of the night from this and similar numbers. Our number is unlisted, also. Afraid to call Noblecom because I really don't want to give out any personal information if they ask. These companies should be put out of business. Their only purpose seems to be to sidestep cold-calling restrictions.

I got call today. If you have AT&T UVerse line you can block the selective calls for ever.

Got a call from this number at 4:15 a.m, which was very scary because no one calls us at that time unless it's an ABSOLUTE emergency.  I didn't answer since I didn't recognize the number and there was no message left.  It's freaky because our number is private so not sure how they got it.....

I got the call today at 12:38 pm CT.  I let it go to VM.  They did not leave a message.
