This totally unknown  # inserted itself into a group text which immediately "bounced" saying "Sorry I don't know that number, please try again" (words to that effect).  Each time I tried to send without the rogue #, a NEW # inserted itself. Only when I edited the original distribution #s did the rogue ones stop being inserted.  (I use Pulse text app, and have Verizon). No clue how this has happened, but a few years ago people with AT&T were reporting the same problem. Unless I learn otherwise, this creepy behavior feels like phishing to me.  For fun, I called the # and got a computerized voice saying something unintelligible (cut off), but might have been thanking for the "...call" with something about "configuring your URL" and "let us know if we can help in any way during your development" and then call disconnects.
