My son received 2 texts from this number that cost him £4.50 each, T Mobile say they can't refund because they have to pay the company. The Tmobile rep said the number was for Evolution mobile platform plc, but the guy there said it was nothing to do with them and phone tmobile again. No results as yet. So who is responsible?? Should Tmobile refund me?

did T-Mobile tell you how much of the £4.50 they pocket before passing the rest on to Evolution mobile platform?

this relates to premium sms revenue share:-

    September 01, 2007

Jeremy Flynn, former head of commercial partnerships at Vodafone and now CEO of mobile video specialist D2see, says UK operators generally keep around 20% of revenue.............But for smaller content platform developers such as Mobiya, the revenue share model breaks down on average to 50/50. Based on the model of a premium SMS costing 1.50, Orange UK keeps 68 pence including VAT while Virgin Mobile keeps a whopping 98p.

Virgin Mobile uses the T-Mobile network and billing platform

All these strange 7000xxxxx and 700xxxxxx codes belong to T-Mobile and Virgin Mobile and almost all the people complaining are parents of young children that have been ripped off.

My daughter has a Virgin mobile SIM, this has just sorted to appear on her statement too, even though she hasn't registered with anything.  Contacted VM and they said the company phone number to contact is 01483 305530, give them your mobile number and should be able to give any history of contacts they have made and 'should' provide proof that these have been requested.  If they can't provide this they have to refund you.
