They left a message. It is a generic Sanford Health number. My call was about scheduling a clinic appointment.

I got a call from this number about a pre registration for surgery in three week. I was then asked to pay  $270 in advance for what i was told is about the standard of what most insurances would not cover.This maybe ligit. but to me it is a big red flag to question the integrity of Sandford and the Dr. I didn't wish to pay in advance which they said was ok that i cvould pay when i got there. Then was told they may not even ask for perpayment when checking in. What would your first thought be?  I never heard of paying before even being submitted to the insuance co.

It felt a little sketchy   .

It is common for surgery or oral surgery. It's a precaution by the hospital because of people who do not pay bills.

What if I don't have any bills with Sanford, and I am NOT scheduled for surgery?

It is from Sanford Optical Shop on South University in Fargo, ND letting me know my glasses that I ordered were in. Which I just ordered them last week, so this is legit.
