The company that is calling everyone is "Precision Opinion" . I requested to be taken off of their call list and the caller("Patricia") told me that wouldn't be possible. Before I could say anything else,she hung up on me.

What you should do:
Request to be taken off their call list
Log every call(Date/time/description of the call)
go to: http://precisionopinion.com/content/contact.html and choose remove my number
If the calls continue: call their service line at: (702) 483-4000 or e-mail them at: info@precisionopinion.com requesting to be removed. It's up to you whether you want to decide to "threaten" them with the logs that you have of their calls.

If the calls still continue, you can bring them to small claims court for War dialing/phone harrassment, which rewards about $500 per violation, up to about $4000.

these !#$&*'s call three or four times every day.  If you call their number you get the message about how the National Do Not Call List does not apply to them, since they say they only conduct public opinion surveys.  This to me shows that they are aware that you don't wish to receive calls from them and they don't care.
I call their number four or five times every time they call . . . just return the favor to them.  At least it ties up
their line for awhile . . . wish everybody would do the same.

this number called (male voice) and asked to speak to a Female's name "Amanda".  I said "you have the wrong number."  He then asked if the spelling of my last name was "M-i-n-x".  I said "No, wrong number" and hung up..

I went right to Facebook and looked up Amanda Minx..  Turns out there is an Amanda Minx that is currently engaged to someone with the exact same First and Last name as me.  

My Land line is not listed anywhere on the internet, except maybe yellow pages, but why would they go through all the trouble to find this girl?

This number is calling my house..and as many of the reports below said .. when you don't answer they don't leave any messages.. I have no idea who they are or what they want.. I like most of you do not answer for numbers I do not recognize..

When you call the number back, they state in their recorded message that they do not have to adhere to the Do Not Call List because they are pollsters.  Do Not Call lists only apply to telemarketers--essentially only to people selling things.

They said they were calling fron Nasa and wanted info about the businesses in the area....

they call alot...and say they do not recgonize the "do not call list"...because they are taking an opinion poll...well you want my opinion!?!!!....i do not like you calling me, STOP!!!!!!!!!!

Yes, the number keeps calling here with onone on the other end.

I called my local provide, CenturyLink and switched my call-waiting, which i don't need anyway, with Call-blocking and add this number to it, so maybe that will get rid of the annoying calls.

This company promotes bestiality and pedophilia and claims to be an offshoot of the Church of Satan in Las Vegas. I don't answer the phone when I see numbers like this. Just ignore them.

late phone calls

Called 3 times in one evening and on multiple days.  I answered and they asked to speak to "X"...I said she's not here and they wanted to know when to call back.  I said "don't call this number again".  Called again at 9:15pm asking for a different name and I said, "I told you never to call me again" and they hung up on me.  I agree, the DNC list is a waste of time...they all ignore it.
