no, not true about the car warranty.  They called my grandcentral number and I have ONLY put that GC number out on my local paper's bargain corner (advertisements).  So whoever this is must have scanned the internet (those ads end up on the paper's website too) for numbers.  

I told GC to play "number not in service" for that number forever.  Love GC.

I received the same message about car warranty. But I don't even have a car. I told the operator and I still receiving calls from them.

I have calls from this number everyday! It pisses me off. First time I got the call they left a message telling me that this is the second notice to tell my factory warranty of the car is expired. Following that message I called my car dealer who told me that cars don't have a factory warranty and that if that would have been the case , I would have been notified by my own car dealer or representatives from the car maker. So this is a big scam and I saved the number under "scam" so I don't pick up anymore.

received call 1/22 at 4:45pm.  Caller ID identified as "Private Suite"  These calls are annoying and I'm putting in a complaint to Verizon.  I am on the Do Not Call Registry and will complain there also.

didn't answer the phone but I see there are several posts related to 'your car warranty is about to expire'. shockingly I started getting calls from progressive on a private, unlisted number. for some reason they decided to keep the number I called to pay my bill despite my policy has another number listed. 2 months later I started getting calls for my warranty. complain to the fcc, ftc, attorney state general, bbb and every other watchdog group you can think of for companies like progressive taking your private information and selling it for their profit

Company left a recorded message stating that this was the LAST CALL we would receive regarding a warranty (car?).  The company failed to identify itself.  This has happened to me for a while. I really wish they would stop calling.

I get a call from this number every week. "Auto Warranty is about to expire" is the message I get sometimes, other times I get silence then hang up. Sometimes I start pressing numbers hoping they'll get annoyed and stop calling or go deaf and stop calling. BIG BIG scam.

I run a switchboard for a large bank. These people call me 10-20 times a day, EASY! I have pressed "2" from every incoming line, every trunk... yet they STILL call DAILY! I finally called them back only to get a recording saying that if I press "1" I'll be removed from the list. When they called back AGAIN, I pressed "1" to speak to an operator. A man came on the phone and asked "How may I help you"... I said, "I have a question about your 'do not call' procedures..." *CLICK* I never got to finish my question even! The rude little punk hung up on me!! Not Very Professional!! I would NEVER talk to my clients/customers that way.

DigitCom Services Helps Fight Abusive TelemarketingPosted in November 18th, 2008 by EveryCall in UncategorizedIn response to many user’s comments on EveryCall.us, wholesaler Digitcom Services, Inc. is helping crack down on abusive telemarketing calls by creating a search form on their website to find the offenders company name and contact information.  Digitcom suggests contacting the telemarketer directy and demanding to be taken off of their call lists.

Should the telemarketer continue to call you, this information can be used when submitting complaints to the FCC to help their investigation and ultimately crack down on telemarketers who are willfully violating the DoNotCall Registry and other Federal Laws.

We’ve tested their service using several numbers that have been reported as provided by Digitcom to EveryCall.us (310-599-5736, 818-870-5097, 619-801-8154) and found that sure enough, Digitcom provided contact information about all of them.

As it turns out, all of these telephone numbers are owned by the same company: Telephone Management Caller ID, LLC (oddly enough the website is the family blog of a company employee).  Telephone Management company information is included at the end of this article for your reference.

Here’s How it Works:

If you receive an abusive or illegal telephone call from a number that has been reported as provided by Digitcom Services, visit their lookup page* and enter the telephone number in question.  If the telephone number is provided by Digitcom, the telemarketer’s company name and contact information will be made available to you.


DigitCom Services offers the following advice:

Be sure to complain about pressing 1 and not being taken off the DNC list and pressing 2 and having operators that are unhelpful and rude. Demand that your number be placed on the wholesalers DNC list and the wholesalers customer DNC list. We are eager to help people like you have their issues resolved by wholesalers and have set up our own email address NOC@digitcom.net so that people making complains to them can also copy us and we can try and make sure they are following up on your problem. If you have gotten a bill for $4.95 or $39.95 on your credit card or from your checking account, this company has been known under MANY different names, and no, none of them are related to us in any way.  We have heard of them billing for Voicemail services, Pagers, Prepaid Calling Cards and lately giving away "Free Gas Cards" & Wild Girls Videos.  The people we have talked to have shown concern over how they even got their credit card or checking account information to bill.  So, there is a case that the Georgia Consumer Affairs Office (866-351-0001) is working on, along with a couple law enforcement agencies that we have gladly assisted.  They highly recommend you DO call your credit card company and dispute the charges if you did not authorize these charges, along with filing complaints with the proper authorities, since there is a goof chance the security of your account has been compromised.  

One thing we did learn about this company is that your credit card company will give you a number to contact them with.  If you call it and get a voicemail, keep calling it.  From what we have gotten, they do not return voicemails, but if you keep calling, you will eventually get a human.
