This one's slick, I actually thought there was a live person on the line the first time I heard this call. I could hear him flipping the pages of paper he was reading and I was all set to "play" with the caller when I realized that it was a recording. I wish I had a nickel for each time he said "...uh..."  Following is the text of the recorded robo call...

"Hi, uh, this is John from the shipping department of Emergency Medical Alert, I was calling to uh schedule a delivery of your medical alert system, it's uh the "fallen, and I can't get up" type of system you've seen on TV. Looks like the system's been uh recommended by thousands of hospitals and medical professionals, uh, let's see, says here that the system's already been paid for. Looks like you're getting the system because uh either yourself, a friend, a family member or maybe even someone you know has experienced a fall in the past so uh again it's already been paid for so there's no cost to your whatsoever. Also says here that the shipping has already been paid for so to uh schedule the delivery of your Emergency Medical Alert System press 1 uh again to uh have your system shipped out to you press 1 now...press 5 to decline the shipment of your system...."

Just got a call from "CTY"....hung up before the robo could start.....feel hurt they haven't called my DO NOT CALL listed number in about a month!  I used to report every number to the DNC but it did absolutely no good.  Guess the scammers and schemers and crooks are smarter than the government....since they continue to call and nothing is done about it.  I average about 5 or calls a day from the same robos over and over including good ole "unknown caller".

Calls me every day.  I answer and tell him to take my number of list and he just keeps talking and I hang up.  If everyone just answers and hang up maybe he will stop calling people.

Please quit calling me. I am very ill and the last thing I need is someone calling and never says a word. All I can hear is breathing or a hang up. I try to call back and all I get is a fast busy or the number is out of order. If the calls don't stop I will be contacting any attorney and the Better Business Bureau and things could get really complicated. So, please stop.

Obviously they are targeting older people so it's some magazine or webpage where you registered and gave them you phone number.  I do not use my real name (unless it's necessary) or my real phone number EVER.  Also, there are supposedly  legitimate groups like AARP that I suspect of selling their subscribers list.

Keep calling but never leave a message.

these ASS-HOLES call multiple times a day, I've actually stayed on the line to speak to a rep, always same thing, "my first day" or "I've never called this number before." "do not call lists" are a joke, we need a way to sue these turkeys out of existence.. Most of the time, I just set the receiver on the table, run up there bill a little.
