They call me everyday....but haven't left voicemail

They call twice a day and never leave a message.  Going to report it as I am on do not call list

It seems that not-for-profits are exempt from do not call -- if alumni association perhaps they're exempt as well

I get called at least once a day from this number.  annoying.  a telemarketing company.

when called back announced at "direct call technologies"   several calls received at late hours and on weekends.  will not accept return calls.

Who the heck is this, and why are they calling me?

I used to work for Direct line. If you don't answer and asked to be put on THEIR do not call list, they will keep calling back. And if they still continue to call after you've asked, then that person didn't do their job correctly.

They called stating they were collecting alumni dues for Southern Illinois University.
He wanted me to commit to a pledge, which I refused to do over the phone. I told him to mail me some documentation. He tried again to get me to commit to paying, if he agreed to send documentation. I refused to commit to anything not in writing and again told him to mail some paperwork before I would make a pledge.
I further told him I was not giving him a pledge, nor any financial information based on the fact that he SAID he was from SIU.
He said thank you and hung up without getting my address.
I'm convinced it's a scam.

If you go to UC-Davis and don't get a degree which requires some actual effort such as Engineering, Chemistry, Medicine, Animal Science .....etc. You may end up making these phone calls trying to sleaze money from students who went to this school, worked hard and became useful members of society.
