any1 live in peterborrough?

I am around Ptb and I answered the call thinking it was my friends cell. They asked me about my computer and if it was slow. I hung up on him. Looked up the # and got this board. Don't think it came from Peterborough and was just routed through there. I know the area is updating a lot of lines to handle VOIP so I wouldn't be surprised if scams are going to pop up looking like its coming from the area.

Just answered it for the third time in 20 mins.  Fax machine.  Probably marketing these stupid vacation deals.  What a waste of someone's time.

I wanted to let you know that this morning I got a quaint call, someone who didn’t speak English well telling me that they were such and such an organization receiving negative energy or something like that from my computer. Anyway, like me you have probably heard that there is a scam going on where people call and say something like this then get info from you that can result in bad stuff. I checked the number but of course it was blocked.

Get calls from this number every few weeks, no message and I'm not calling them back.

Received a call Nov. 28/11 at approx. 5:04 pm asking if we had "windows" on our computer and wanted info about it and they could fix it.  I asked for their phone number that they were calling from and he said they did not have a return number.  When questions as to why someone working on behlalf of  "windows" did not have a return number the phone went dead.  
Tonight (Nov. 29/11) at approx. 4:28 pm a call came in from a local number 705-749-5676 asking about the same thing and when we tried to contact them right back the number was "no longer in service".  Then 1 minute later another long distance call "unknown name and unknown number" came from same people.  How do we stop this crap.
