It is someone calling you from jail..There is a number of jails throughout the country that are using the carrier. It is NOT a scam...It IS a collect call. If you are on a cellphone you will have to set up an account and prepay/add funds to it before you can accept charges.

It is not a scam. It is someone you know in jail. You may not know they were in jail but they probably didnt know that they were going. So..If one of your buddies that you talk to on a regular basis hasnt callled you in a while...You may want to head on up to the W.B.C. and bond him out. He'd do it for you...You know he would...

I received 4 calls on my cell phone from (713) 568-6973. I didn't answer but they left 4 voicemails, stating I have "a 30 second free chat" and to listen to payment options if I want more time. The recording didn't state what the call was for... I then answered a call from (800) 483-8314, and the recording stated I missed a call from a corrections inmate (didn't state the facility) due to billing restrictions, and to go to www.connectnet.com to set up a prepaid account. I don't know why I received these calls or how my cell number was obtained... Where did this call come from which facility

This is not ANY TYPE OF SCAM OR PRANK. This is an actual call from an inmate in jail trying to reach you. True they may have the wrong number, but my child's father has been in jail for a cpl years and this is a number he calls from collect. He hasn't called from this one in a long time so I didn't have it saved and tried looking it up, but then he called back and I answered. Just so ppl trying to say ITS A SCAM/prank don't believe it is and one of their family members of friends can't get ahold of them if they're in Trouble. ALSO with this service the first 30 seconds of the call is free so u can see who's trying to get in touch with you without being charged

Yes my friend call me from this number and it told me who he was but I said hello and some how the phone hung up

received a call twice from 7135686973 and it was from an offender requesting money at a jail - nope didn't answer - received a recording when I called back - best not to answer because it's crapola.

From a different number: 678-619-1707, I received 3 calls that left a vm claiming I was receiving a collect call from an inmate in the Deyton Correctional Facility in Georgia. I didn't recognize the name or voice on the recording so I didn't answer. Then I received a call from this number a few minutes later. I think it's a scam. I have extended family in Georgia but I would never get a call from them. They don't have my number.

A call came from this number saying name Steve (could not discern last name) Don’t know him or want to know him. Unwanted call.

It can be from a number of different facilities, it says Texas when I receive the call but it's actually coming from Ohio.

I  received a call that said an inmate from a correctional facility to accept the call for 9. 99 enter your credit card info if the call is not connected you will not be charged well I did. Then it said the other party has hung up. And I still was charged the 9.99 and I still have no idea who it was or what company it is I ha e no clue what facility they are calling from. I called the number back and it says the call has been sanctioned
