- Debbie| 1 replyI received the call and like many calls like this I get in a day, being the administrative assistant to the VP of our company, he asked for my boss on the first name basis, sounding like they knew each other well. When I asked him what it was in regards to he said it was about the ID 10T. He said he was looking for the 2nd edition, not the 1st and that he had the information. Very pushy and very cocky. I looked up ID 10T and is a term used by tech support operators and computer experts to describe a user error, a problem that is due to the user's ignorance instead of a software or hardware malfunction. It is a masked jab at the user. when ID-Ten-T is spelled out it becomes IDIOT. A highly popular example of this is a user mistakingly using their CD-ROM for a cup holder. So we called him back. He works for a collection company and wanted to help us with collections. When we asked him what an ID 10T was he laughed and said it was their way to get past a secretary who is screening calls for her boss. The point is beware of there ID 10Ts!!!!!!!!!!!

- Enough| 2 replies"Mark" from Greenberg Grant and Richards left me a message today. "I've left you three messages in the last three weeks and you really need to call me back. This is Mark with Greenberg Grant and Richards. 713.789.5893. 713.789.5893." Seriously, if you've left me a message that had any merit to it or would be of benefit to my company, you would have had a return call by someone. Salespeople need to take a hint, if you leave an unsolicited message, send an unsolicited package, etc., and you do NOT hear back from someone it's because they do NOT want to do business with you at this time. IF/WHEN the company finds your services to be useful to them, they will be in touch. Trying to bully your way through an assistant is NOT the way to make it to the person you really want to speak with. Trust me. We're the first and last line of defense on unsolicited calls.
- Caller: Greenberg Grant and Richards
- Nice TryTom Bachelor from Greenberg Grant and Richards left me a message today. "I need you to give me a call at 713-789-5893 extension 1137. CALL ME BACK" Seriously guy, do you think that my company would actually return a message with no reference. Cold callers get the hint "we don't want to sell our company". BTW bullying my assistant to get through is not going to work, actually you'll be the one hanging up once she's done with you!!

- Maverick vs Collectors replies to Enough| 1 replyI also have been targeted by this scam. Tomorrow the "Private Investigator" is coming to a business I sold my nephew 6 months ago to do an "asset search" (1st red flag)
Private investigators do not let anyone know they are doing an asset search. Why? If you do an asset search before litigation, it tips the debtor to transfer assets into a family members name temporarily to avoid garnishment or attachment.
The caller said he was a private investigator (2nd red flag) I checked AZDPS licensing online under his name and company name. No registration or licensure. Opps. To impersonate a private Investigator in Arizona is a felony.
He should have done his homework before he called and set up an appointment ...because...the new owner (my nephew) and I are both licensed Private investigators in Arizona. I own Maverick Investigations and have for over 20 years.
So this is what is going to happen tomorrow.
Wait..you asked why I am putting this out on the web...and maybe tipping the guy off????? Because he will never read this until it is too late. He is coming at 8am in the morning. The only way he will read this is from jail.
anyway...tomorrow. We have two video cameras set up to record his contact with us tomorrow. A digital voice recorder and Arizona Dept of Public Safety is going to be on an open cell phone line listening in to this meeting. They are haveing the local PD standing by to come in and arrest the "PI" after he says enough to incriminate himself.
Sounds fun huh?

Maverickinvestigations.com - RedKeep getting calls from this number that says they are Greenberg and associates, or something or other. The first time it was about a trucking company, today it was about an open invoice that he had spoken to me about and that I was supposed to talk to my wife and get back to him and it's been three weeks and he's heard NOTHING. Not sure what the deal with this "company" is, but it sounds like they could use some reorganization, ASAP...

- BellaGot a call July 3 that someone was coming to my property to take pics of my assets & business accounts on July 5, He told me he was hired as a PI for Erica Moore, I asked him where he was coming to? he told me it was irrelevant ( well if your going somewhere shouldn’t you know where you are going? ) my business mail was a PO Box so I guess he was going to the local Post Office to take pics of the box?
He brought up a company name which is no longer operating but he was certain it was!
So here it is July 5th, I get a call from some female going by the name of Erica Moore ( when I called & asked for such person the operator told me I needed to provide her my file # and the extension of who called me or she couldn’t transfer the call?!?! Sooooo Erica Moore must clearly be an alien name) so after 3 minutes of being on hold a so called “Erica Moore” gets on the phone and bores me by pretty much repeating the same info I already heard from the previous day. She told me she was hired from UShip to verify my assets and the file was placed on her desk this morning, ( guess she meant it was placed in her collection que as she works at a call center environment) long story short my wife told her we already did our own investigation on the business ( my wife works for a REAL law office and knows her stuff) and they are not a law firm or a PI firm they are a 3rd party collection agency ... she told my wife to get up off her butt to help me pay for bills and they do sue people and they would be seeing me in court. Whelp as my wife preceded to tell her that the gig was up stop the threats and little Miss Erica hung up ! Oh well better luck next time I am
Sure they WILL call again with the same ole line of BS- Caller: Erica Moore Greenberg Grant & Richards
