The most annoying company to deal with. They call 6 to 8 times a day even though you made payment arrangements with them. You can be two Days late with your payment you are guarantee to get a call from them. Just because of the finance company I will never buy a Hyundai again. Reason for being late lost my job,and they don't care.

I completely agree with KM.  I will never ever buy Hyundai again because of this finance company.  Exactly the same thing happened to me.  Made arrangements because I was late one month - now, they call if I am one day late from 8 am until 8pm.  When I tried to explain that I was laid off - they started threatening me by asking me for information they had no right to.

5:34 AM on 5/21 & 5/22 & 5/23 but no one responds when answering the phone.

I find it to be very interesting that big bank companies can harass and abuse the same Americans whom keep them in business, with our monthly payments OR our bailout money, then break Federal law by abusing us & we have no recourse.  When the shoe is on the other foot & we break the our contractual obligations they have recourse and laws to make sure they are whole.

Waking me up daily at 530 AM will not make me pay and instead  provides me with a living situation where I am unable to sleep or hold a job.  How does that help 'em get their money?

I just got a call from them to verify the Kia loan taken out yesterday was indeed from me.  This is because I had a fraud alert on my credit report which requires anyone taking credit out in my name to contact me by cell or home phone first.

The lady on the phone was American, very professional, and courteous.  I have worked with them in the past and have had no problems or issues.  Of course, I've always paid on time and early and my credit score is extremely high, so I haven't given them reason to contact me.

For Call Type, I had to select Unknown since there wasn't a category for loan confirmation call.

If they are calling you at 5:30 AM your time, it's illegal.  They have to call you between the hours of 8:00AM and 9:00PM your time unless you've given them permission to call you during those times.  I'd look up the "Fair Debt Collection Practices Act" on google.  You should make them not call you at work but don't try for a cease and desist letter, unless you really want to be sued.

DO have a record option on your phone (cell or landline) and if/when they pull this again, record them and advise them, "You are being recorded, it's 5:30AM (or whatever time) in (city/town and state where you are), and you are speaking to (your name)."

After you record it, call their legal department and play this back for them.  You DO want the debt to be paid, but you DO NOT want to be harassed while you do so.

    Former Hyundai Customer
Just received a call. I have one more payment to make and I own the car. I don't get paid again until next Friday. Been going around and around with them about changing my due date so it won't always look like I am late. Nope, we can't have that now. Now they threaten to repossess my car. I owe you $240 you f**ktards and I will get it paid OFF next Friday. Then Hyudai can kiss my keyster.

Got a call on my cell phone & didn't know who it was. They don't identify themselves & asked for my last four Social Security # before they would tell me what is was about! I hung up & searched online only to find out it was KIA finance. I explained to them I paid online & wasn't late. I even got a Confirmation number email from them for the transaction but Kia said it didn't go thru & that I was late! What a hassle in dealing with them. They call you AFTER their is a problem it is Harrasment!

Its Hyundai Motor Finance Collections.  Normally the caller ID is 800-523-7020 but now they are using 714-369-1890.  They are never on the line; its some sort of automatic dialer that their collection clerks
use, but apparently don't want to talk to you since there is never a human on the other end.  Stupid!!!!

I totally agree. They kept calling me and weren't leaving any messages, so I looked up the number. We were late before because my husband lost his job and they didn't care. They say to call to make payment arrangements, there arrangement is, "Will you be paying with a credit or debit card?" I don't know how they got my work number probably from when we got the car and they had to verify I was working but they kept calling me at work, which I'm not supposed to get calls at work. I told them to stop calling me there but they didn't.

    Never Again
I feel your pain!  I will NEVER finance a car from Kia again.  I to have struggled with the constant harassing phone calls even though I had made payment arrangements.  I lost my job in January of this year and was unemployed for 4 months, and they could have cared less.  Made it practically impossible for me to get a break, like an extension.  I asked for an extension and instead of having the application faxed, I asked them to mail it instead, and well you know, someone didn't mail it, and when I called to check on it, yep, it was to late to file the extension.  These kind of games with these people for the last 6 months!  I am going to get rid of this car ASAP and deal with someone else!

You do have legal recourse.  They are not allowed to call you outside of set hours (I believe the set hours are 9 am to 8 pm, but double check that.  5:30 am is way outside the set hours)  You can get a consumer advocate attorney for free if they continuously harass you and you have proof of it.  The attorney gets paid by the offenders, not their clients (you) so it's totally worth hiring one.  You may even get punitive damages in addition to any losses you incurred because of the harassment.

The exact same thing happened to me! I was waiting for it to come through the mail and it never came. When I called about it, it was too late. This makes me wonder if it's all strategic. Either way, it's horrible business.  I will NEVER finance through them again.

I thought Hyundai MF company was bad calling me at 8 am but I am pretty sure it is against the law for them to call someone at 5am. Check with your lawyer.
I understand the rules when you sign your name to on a contract, we are obligated to pay up till every last penny is paid. But what I don't understand is how these banks are given bail outs, and lend out money they never had.
On top of it, these banks/financial intitutions already have got their money from the FDIC.
Perhaps if they quit charging double the interest (my car was 10,000 I ended up paying 20,000 and still owe 3500.00 plus interest from a deferred payment which increases daily till paid) then just maybe I would believe I am obligated to pay them. They already got the 10,000 plus another 10,000 from me. This is all after the timing belt broke 4 days after the warranty expired!!! And I had to pay 2000,00 to get the engine replaced! The car turned out to be a piece of junk they double charged me for. And now they are still calling me.
I surrendered the car and they still keep calling me.
