It's a scam

So the company I work for had a new line put in, and I have been getting a lot of calls for the former owners. When this 714 number calls, I say "I'm sorry, you are calling a business, please update your records." and they hang up. BUT today, "Mike Jackson" called I said the same thing, and he did not understand for the life of him what i was saying. I was so frustrated and annoyed by his "this is not a business call. Right?" I would repeat, " you are calling a business." I went through every possible way to say, you have the wrong number and still he told me, "Ma'am this is not a business call. Right?" I asked to speak to his supervisor and he accused me of being bigoted. He never would allow me to speak to his supervisor, and finally I was like fine, ask me your questions. Then he told me that he was from Phoenix AZ and I said if you were from Phoenix you wouldn't have a number from Orange County CA. He laughed, then told me once again that I was the former owner of my number and I lived in "Temp". I went so far as to ask if he wasn't allowed to hang up. After more of him telling me who I was and where I lived I became so frustrated by the call I hung up. Then I called back, I was hoping to speak to another person, because the whole time "Mike Jackson" and I were talking I heard many people in the background. But a recording came on and asked if I would like to be removed, and well, we'll see.

I answered the call, couldn't understand the man speaking, broken English plus a bad connection.  Told him he had a wrong number and I couldn't understand him.

stupid number calls and hangs up ! They call several times a day and hang up!

Received 2nd call from this number today.  On the first, I said nothing.  On the second, just a moment ago, I answered and was informed that I had been preapproved for whatever.  This one claimed to be calling from Phoenix, Arizona and the caller had a heavy east-Indian or Pakistani accent.

I don't waste much time on these clowns anymore except to insult them and hang up.

They called me telling me that I qualified for a $200 walmart gift card. All I have to do is pay the shipping fee of $4.95. He asked for my first and last name. Then he said I need to verify my expiration date on my credit card, then asked me what's the 16 digit number, which is my credit card number. Do they really think I'm that stupid. I was like no, THATS OK! I'm not giving me info out like that. He said he'll get a manager to speak with me, I hung up on him. Some guy calls me back saying he's the senior manager, and he wanted to give me the card. I just need to pay for the $4.95 shipping charge. I said, "I'm sorry, I don't trust some random person calling me up to ask for my credit card number." He said he can't do anything without the PIN in the back, which is a BULL. He kept pursuing but I told him NO THANKS, I'm a busy man and i have to GO. If he you see these numbers, just pick up and [***] them OUT. hope no one falls for their scams.

I received 4 calls from MSL 714-607-5759 within a 2 hour period. The first call was an Indian man, who was very pushy after I told him that I was not interested in any offers. No thank you. He continues to read his script, I told him... yes, it's nice and all, but I am not interested in any offer and he hung up. Fifteen minutes later, they called back and spoke to my father... same crap... yada yada. I yelled in the background it's a scam and don't give out any information to him and hang up the phone. My father told this jerk that he wasn't interested, the Indian guy being very pushy again... my father hung up. 2 minutes after hanging up, received yet another call from these scammers and this time it was some woman named Veronica. He said no thanks and hung up. The fourth call received after 10 minutes this time, I picked up the phone and I asked who it was, she reveals her name as Veronica... I told her we are not interested in your 100 dollar crap and stop calling us. She hesitated and I just hung up on her. Hopes that these people don't attempt to call us again or it's going to get ugly.

SCAM:
Never deal with any companies that ask for your personal identifiable information of the the phone, email, faxes... always check with the Better Business Bureau and if you are in fact dealing with scammers.  Good luck!

I've recieved 4 calls from this number in the past two days and its only 1pm right now. All I get is complete silence from the other end, not even a machine. When I call the number back so I can ask to be removed from their calling list and get an automated message that hangs up on me before I can press the number to be removed. Whow knows how many calls there have been in the past, everyone else here hangs up on them. Isn't this illegal? Who can I talk to to have this stopped. I don't need telemarketers anyway. If I need or want something I can get it without them calling my house every 5 minutes.

I believe the 2 sources are related in a cowardly marketing scheme.
Unsolicited calls are permitted by law however they are an unethical practice that only the individual can change by not doing business with the sources. It seems that the solicitors are using "google" but are not affiliated with them.
Do not give out any personal information to anyone unless you already have a pre-existing business relationship with them and even then, make sure your info is not available for "marketing purposes". Good luck everyone

Don't know how they got my number, but I keep deleting message & they keep Can't get them to stop.

They tried to scam me too!! A man called and said I had won a 100 dollar gift card to walmart and he said the only info he needed was my first and last name and he would give me a number to call with a reference pin. so he verified my address and ask me what my first name was ,since he had already had my last name.(I gave him a fake name) then he said he was going to give me the phone number to were I could claim my gift card. The phone number he gave me was 877-233-9196 then he started asking more personal questions so I hung up.I tried to call back the number he called me on and I got the press 1 to be put on the do not call list. then I called this other number I listed above and someone picked up and said hello.I was silent and he started to stutter and then he said"Is this someone calling on a gift card".I hung up. mmm sounded fishy to me.

comes up as msl-  Keeps calling and everytime I tell them to take me off the calling list.  They can't speak a bit of American and need to get there self a freaking camel and ride off in the desert. THEY WON'T LIKE ME IF THEY CALL ME AGAIN BECAUSE THAT IS JUST WHAT I AM GOING TO TELL THEM!!!!!

This # along with 702-520-1478 has called me numerous of times a day and I've had about enough. I've answered twice, 1 time with both #'s and no one says anything. I called the (702) back and it directed me to NC Baptist Hospital. What a way to worry someone. The (714) I called back from my cell phone and it told me to press 7 if I wanted to be removed from the call list and I did then it dropped my call? Is there not something that can be done? I have a newborn trying to sleep when the calls come in at up hours of the night. I can't turn off my phones incase of emergencies. This is just crazy. Yesterday my caller id showed a name (MSL) and today is saying unknown?

I haven't picked up. Glad I didn't after reading all of these. They keep calling my cell phone all day long. The only thing I remember doing was trying to set up some Google thing. I did more research into it and found out this Google AD thing was some scam too. I put my cellphone number to go further in the process on the internet but I never put in my credit card information for the start up kit. Supposedly Google would pay out money if you would post ads for them on the internet. So if you put your number in the text field and clicked continue, they at least have some number to harass you. Such [***], so many people out to get you these days.
