This is GEICO claims.
When you fill out their online claims form.
I filled a form out online at 12 midnight, they called me by 7:00 am next day.
I don't' know if this # is used for marketing purposes or cold calling. If so that sucks.
The person I dealt w/today was helpful.

I received a call from this number claiming that she is calling from Geico and asking for rental car confirmation.  Seems it is a bogus call

I called geico they said they don't know anything about ALLTEL. So this is a fishing scam. Don't give them any information.

Got a call asking for information

i got a call from this number. a lady with a nice voice started asking specific information about an accident that i was involved. Dont say anything.

they called husbands phone 3 min after I called then to report an accident, left a voice message with a 1 800 number to call, it was Geico.
maybe the number is only outgoing.

I received a call from this number but didn't answer it.  I looked it up under reverse call and found this website.

There seems to be a mixed feeling as to whether this is a legit call.  Is there a way to find out for sure?

My son's friend had gotten into an accident and my son was in the car. Geico just called to make sure he was okay and not injured. Took 2 minutes.

Got a call from this number which tells you to call an 800 number..it is legit and it is Geico..only problem is is that there is no "Chelsea" to connect with as the message states..you just get the menu for claims, yada yada. The person who left the message spoke really fast so you don't hear who it is. If you've been in an accident it's probably follow up..don't know yet (I listened to the message 3 times

I posted a few minutes ago..saying it was Geico..I forgot to add that if there is question..call Geico and ask if anyone is trying to reach you. We had a fender bender so assuming that is what it is about. It is true that the 716 number says it is not a working number. So don't give out info..YOU call Geico and check would be my decision

Wondered if this number is a part of the scam?  Supposedly, if caller is engaged in conversation one can rack up twenty dollars +.

Yes, they called me immediately after I had put in a claim with Geico.  Nice people.

My son was contacted by a person calling from this number who said he was calling from Geico regarding a collision caused by a Geico client and involving my son's car among others. The number he left for my son to call was inaudible, so we tried calling this 716-267-4000 number. The recording said it was a disconnected number.

And this is supposed to be Geico?

This is definitely NOT Geico. They called around 9:30 AM this morning but did not leave a message. I called GEICO earlier and they confirmed this number is NOT theirs. DO NOT fall for it

It's Geico. First they called an hung up before I answered on two rings, but as I was checking it out they called back, and knew enough about a claim I notified them about last week that I'm convinced it was legitimate.

This is a legitimate, outgoing-only number for GEICO.  I just received a call confirming a new car that the dealership is adding to my policy for me.  Definitely legit 100% GEICO.

Looks like an alarm salesman is using this number now...

Yeah, it should be illegal for a company to misrepresent their contact information.

If they want you to call back, they should show up on the caller ID as their 800 #.

Also, IT IS ILLEGAL for them to not include a valid number that will ring through during normal business hours:

Guess they think information has no value?

Even still, they need to provide a valid number to remove your number from their list, even if they are not selling anything...
